My husband and I along with my sister and her husband enjoyed an amazing dinner here. Derek was our server was awesome! It was so good that we planned on returning two days later but realized that they are not open on Mondays, we were sad. My sister and I have grown up eating some of the best Italian food from our grandmother and our parents so it’s hard to find a restaurant that compares. I wish it was in Charleston, but then I guess I would eat there too much. Looking forward to a return trip.

Everything about this place is amazing! The food, the service, the owners. Truly authentic Italian food, with an intimate fine dining atmosphere. You must try the fresh mozzarella, it is made fresh daily. If I am ever craving the classics, I will not hesitate to visit again!

Absolutely satisfied every time! From the apps to the desserts I can never get enough I highly recommend the calamari for an app & either the lasagna or the Alfredo. If you really have a hunger you can’t pass up the 16oz Del Monico steak ?

My Saltimbocca alla Romana was the problem . Chicken was tough and thick ! Flavor was ok but hard the appreciate. Even with a knife it was difficult to cut. Needed a steak knife! Seems they never pounded it to tenderize .My wife tried it as well and agreed poorly prepared chicken.She had the eggplant which I tasted and it was acceptable to good.I returned a third of the portion of my chicken dish and they offered me a free tiramisu! I declinedFor a $31.00 chicken dish they should have made it right!Side Cesar salad was good .?

This was the first time dining at Via Canaletto. Let me start out by saying that our service and our food was very good. The décor was beautiful suggesting very intimate dining but it was anything but. The restaurant is very small. We had reservations for 6pm and when we arrived they only had 2 small tables for two, one was taken and so we were put right by the door and table was extremely small. The rest of the tables were setup for large parties therefore making the rest of the night unpleasant. It was so loud that it felt like you were eating in the middle of a bargain store. Manager never came to the table to see how we were enjoying our dinner and then to top the night off they charged us a credit card fee of $4.00 for not paying with cash. This is not the restaurant to go to if you want to enjoy a nice quiet dinner.

Great date night atmosphere! Bruschetta was fantastic and the calamari was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi and chicken parm were delicious and great to take home as left overs. 10/10

Absolutely best pasta in NSB. The bucatini is my absolute favorite, hands down the best I’ve ever had. My dad loves the lasagna, also best he’s ever had he said. Will always come back to this place.
I ordered Picccata Milanese. The meal I got was not anyway like the description in the menu. “Scaloppine” means thin cut. The chicken was large pieces and very hard. I needed a steak knife to cut it. The menu says lemon white wine sauce. It did not have the lemon white wine taste. It was too sweet. No capers. Very disappointing. Some man came out and blamed us for expressing our complaint. He threw us out and told us to never come back. We never raised our voices. We never gave him a reason to yell at us. The restaurant never handled us by offering to replace the meal. There was never a better way to solve this problem. We were the customers and were treated like beggars at the back door. Not worth the cost. The wine was the only part of the meal that was good.

Excellent ambiance. Food quality a real disappointment. As a fellow veteran I expected better. I always favor veteran businesses. Pricing for fine dining was acceptable. Food quality did not earn another visit. So very disappointed.
