Fabulous pulled pork! One of the best I've ever had and I'm from St Louis Mo! Generous servings. Outdoor seating front and huge patio in back plus indoor seating. Good happy hour specials. A new favorite when visiting the area!

If you are looking for a dining experience overflowing with character, creativity, and genuinely fantastic food, look no further than Yellow Dog Eats. Tucked away in Gotha, this place is less a restaurant and more a destination, nailing every essential element: atmosphere, service, and, most importantly, the eats and drinks. The moment you walk in , you're immersed in a vibe that is instantly warm, quirky, and laid-back. Housed in a charming, historic cottage, the atmosphere is pure Americana meets funky artist loft. From the colorful, covered outdoor patio--often hosting live music and sometimes even a few wandering chickens--to the interior walls covered in dog photos and customer signatures, the entire space feels loved, lived-in, and full of heart. It's the perfect backdrop for a relaxed, memorable meal. Despite the bustling, counter-service format, the customer service here is genuinely awesome. The staff is consistently friendly, patient, and welcoming, making every patron feel like a long-lost friend. Orders are handled efficiently, and you're lucky you might run into the owner, "Fish" Morgan... The food at Yellow Dog Eats is the true star. They take classic comfort foods, especially BBQ and sandwiches, and transform them into gourmet, flavor-packed masterpieces. They pride themselves on house-smoked meats and locally sourced ingredients. Must-try items include any of the signature pulled pork sandwiches, like theRufus or the Florida Cracker....Every dish strikes a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and smoky flavors, ensuring a delightful complexity that will keep us coming back. Lastly Yellow Dog Eats is a truly unique establishment that successfully merges phenomenal food with an unforgettable environment and stellar hospitality. It's a place that doesn't just feed you; it gives you an experience.

I work nearby so I often get takeout from yellow dog eats and it’s always excellent. This time, five of us, all women, decided to have lunch in the restaurant. Our server was great, the food was great, the owner made us all very uncomfortable. He was loud and obnoxious, asking us questions and then walking away before we could answer or standing over our table while critiquing our answers. He had a manic energy and all of us commented when we left about how strangely he was acting. There are lots of food options in the area, I will be choosing those instead.

My husband and I always make sure to eat here when we visit NSB. Our friends showed us this place and we have been fans since!

The Florida Cracker and the Nachos are our go to! Love the slaw they have as well. Great service and atmosphere.

A unique spot with a funky vibe! The atmosphere at Yellow Dog Eats is definitely the main draw. It's an eclectic, fun place with a cool courtyard that makes for a great setting. The menu has some really creative and interesting options.

We got our food quickly, which was a plus. The food itself was decent, but I have to say it felt a little expensive for the quality. It was good, but not amazing. Our server was very efficient and fast, but not overly friendly; the interaction felt a bit dry and impersonal.

Overall, it's a four-star experience. The atmosphere is fantastic and worth checking out alone. While the food and service didn't quite hit the five-star mark for me, I'd still recommend it for the unique ambiance.

Just moved back into the area and decided to try this place out. It’s such a cute restaurant l, very laid back and relaxed. My fiance had the Elvis club sandwich and I had the double smash burger which we both thought were SOOO GOOOD. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. The coleslaw was good too, on the sweeter side but I like my slaw either way. Our server, Bailey, was sweet and attentive. Everyone was very nice and personable once we came into the restaurant. It was a 10/10; I live closer to ormond beach but will definitely make the drive to be back for some good food!

Went yesterday 8/23/25 for dinner. The restaurant was so clean. Service was fantastic. The food was excellent. The girl taking care of us recommended me trying the Hokey Pokey tacos which is her favorite thing on the menu. They were the best tacos I’ve ever had. Ahi tuna is the only way I eat tuna and it was so good. She also put the bayou sauce I think it’s called on it and it was a game changer. My dad had the trifecta and loved it. My son had the kids burgers and said it was the best burger he’s ever had. There are so many things I want to try here. I will be back and highly recommend you giving this a try. It’s worth every penny.

My wife and I were huge fans of Yellow Dog Eats and would dine there every week. Unfortunately, earlier this summer, they took the Curry Chicken off the menu in NSB. That was an amazing dish and my wife's go-to every time. While I enjoy other options on the menu, the Curry Chicken wrap was a favorite of mine as well. The Chicken Salad Salad they replaced it with is disappointing to say the least and we have not been back since ordering it a few weeks ago. A member of their staff told us that we were not the first regular customers to stop dining there after they pulled this popular menu item. What a shame!
