Danny's has the best fried chicken, biscuits and sides. It's all hot fresh and juicy. The employees are awesome, always friendly and smiling. They also have daily lunch plate specials that are all good. Fried pork chops with rice, peas, greens and cornbread on Thursday is yummy. But get there early, you don't want to miss out. A locally owned restaurant where you still get great southern food and service. Not to mention the fact that that don't attach on fees for eating utensils or packing fees like other franchise restaurants do. As the old saying goes, put a little south in your mouth🥰

This review for for the quality of service :
Stopped in today to grab a quick late lunch. The staff member at the front service counter was extremely dismissive from the start of me placing my order. The daily specialty listed was “fish or shrimp” when I asked what type of fish was being offered I was told “ a white fish “ , when I asked for the type as their are hundreds of white fish , I was told “ IDK .” No attempt was made to find out , no attempt was made to ask a fellow employee or to in anyway provide an answer to the question. We live in Florida , and you are serving fish and can not identify the type of fish . This is concerning as it is a daily special and should easily be identifiable by the label or packaging. The customer behind me ( only 2 of us in line, not rush hour ) mentioned he always assumed it was catfish but was also curious and again , “IDK” was the only response given. It should be customary to know the one item you are advertising as a daily special . The customer should not be made to risk guessing the type of fish they are ordering as they could have dietary restrictions and they are spending money and should be extended the curtesy of being informed of what they are ordering. She seemed a lot more chipper and helpful with the previous customer , not sure if he is a regular but if quality service is only rendered to regulars , you will not have many regulars.

Recommended dishes: Tender Dinner with Red Beans and Rice Chicken and Dumplings, Okra, Onion Rings, Potato Salad, Rice Dressing, Chicken Gizzard, Gizzards
Staff is great. Food is more bland than raisins in potato salad. Chicken lacks seasoning and you have to mix hot sauce in the Danny's sauce just to make it taste decent.
Cheap prices but its probably because they dont buy seasoning.

Absolutely delicious!! Hot crispy chicken. Amazing sides and a fantastic staff!! Highly recommended!!!
Hate to do this, but I ordered a 16 piece meal for extended family. They called me after I dropped it off with them. Said that there was only 10 pieces. This is the 3rd time my to go/call ahead order has been messed up.

We come from Jacksonville area to Thunder bird powwow every November and they they catered the powwow. We also go there on our own to get chicken to take home with us and to eat in the restaurant. The chicken is fun fabulous and so good. Yesterday I got to try their chicken and dumplings, which was phenomenal and it is a side dish they have but it is I had it as a meal and it was really, really good. You can’t go wrong by eating at Danny’s chicken.

We've been getting chicken livers and gizzards for over 10 years from Danny's. No regrets.

This a place that harkens back to days of the privately-owned, small town establishments that bridge the space between fast food and a traditional restaurant. Their chicken is great, as are their accompaniments. You also get southern options -- like chicken livers or gizzards. Want spicy gizzards? They can do it. The sides are closer to restaurant fair -- rice dressing, string beans, coleslaw, fried okra, onion rings, and other similar southern delights. Daily specials provide variety, and different side choices each day also keep the menu fresh. Service is prompt. The people are friendly and work hard to meet the demands of a constant stream of customers.

Danny's is a must eat in Niceville. Truly comfort food. The entire menu is excellent! Though my faves include Gizzards and Fried Mushrooms.

This is the kind of place that brings back memories of being raised in the South. We ate fried chicken at least once or twice a week and Danny’s is that kind of place. They have daily specials. Biscuit, slaw, potato salad and all the sides are good but the chicken is even better and the fingers, though a bit pricey, are awesome . I always order extra Danny’s sauce (mustard based) and a pepper no matter what I get. Grab it to go and head to Turkey Creek for a picnic and a walk on the boardwalk.
