We decided to have a late lunch after my wife shopped at Anthony 's .We had never tried Paradise Grill so we walked down. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with house chips my wife had chicken salad half sandwich witha cup of clam chowder along with house chips. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. I had half a sandwich and chips left for take out. Friendly staff with reasonable prices. We will gladly return.
We were really looking forward to dining at this place on our last night in nokomis. The four of us were completely disappointed. The pulled pork tasted like it had been sitting in a hot crock pot for the past week. The girlfriend’s maji tacos were disgusting and overly fishy tasting. The other couples food was almost inedible. Oh and we had a pubic hair in our appetizer. On the plus side, the beer was cold and the atmosphere was nice. They had a band playing and the place looks awesome. Go for the drinks and not the food. The waitress was extremely nice. We paid our bill, gave the waitress a hefty tip and won’t ever return.
Been there before because I liked the ambiance but maybe no more. The prime rib I order was one of the specials so I gave it a try, even against my better judgement...This meat was so tough I could hardly swallow it as a matter of fact I had to spit it out a few times.. Probably got down a few bites only. Told the waitress and she said she would let the chef know. What good is that if they don't make any adjustments to the bill.. Really one of the worst meals I've had!
Food was bad. Tried their flatbread, a Coconut shrimp and chicken sandwhich. None of it was good. They also got our orders wrong.
Two of us had fish tacos, one had meatloaf. Nothing bad, just not great. The fish tacos had two tacos as opposed to three, more commonly on the plate. And only one chunk of fish in each, which was disappointed. There was no special dressing or toppings. The meatloaf was also run of the mill...more institutional than original. Service was top-notch however.

This restaurant was perfect after several hours at Nokomis Beach. Great choices on the menu, service was fantastic and the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. We had shrimp and coconut shrimp baskets. The shrimp tasted so fresh and were perfectly cooked. Our server was Richard and he was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!
We ate here a few time last year. Unfortunately, yesterday's experience will result in no more visits. Service was virtually nonexistent. A couple arrived at the same time to a table next to ours. We didn't get our drinks until they already had their food - 20 minutes after we were seated. Waitress said our order was in. Waited another 1/2 hour. People next to us received their check. Still no food. We think waitress forgot to hit "send" on her tablet. Wait staff walking by us with their heads down because we were on the path to the kitchen. It was like we didn't exist. Finally left after more than 55 minutes with no food. Good thing Publics is next door - saved us a lot of money.

Fries were cold and a bit hard while the burger bun was very dry. Meat and sauce were ok

Tiki hut style restaurant in a plaza. Food was good, but the view is overlooking the parking lot

This is my second time here, and I can say the food is surprisingly very good. Very good quality hot and tasted fresh. Our server was VERY attentive to our table and needs. The atmosphere could use a little updating, but hey, if it works, it works. It wouldn't stop me from coming. It's probably the best restaurant in this area. I ordered the Paradise Burger with sweet potato fries, and it was a little under seasoned but still really good. My brother-in-law ordered the fish n chips. No complaints from our table..

We ordered lunch to go, and part one of the order was "make it your own!". The burger patty was made by C.B.I. or Sysco, it had no flavor, and it was not fresh . The bun had mold spores. It was larger than the flavorless beef patty. I did the $3.00 up charge for onion rings, 5 onion rings, 3 small 2 large, not worth it.
Part two of the order was the grouper bites, lots of batter and fishy smell, and gator sauce was good. We think the bites were not grouper.
Part three grouper bite basket, batter was not as much, the grouper bites were bigger and no fishy smell, fries were ok
While there to pick up my order, the kitchen staff seem to be having a heavy exchange of words, in Spanish, or was it Portuguese anyway, they should have paid more attention to the food preparation.
