Very high highs and very low lows; Sichuan Fish Restaurant is great but has lots of room for improvement.

I stopped by for dinner and ordered a bunch of options, such as the Mao Xue Wang (spicy duck blood stew), cucumber salad, braised pork belly, mushroom salad and more. The food came in large portions that are big enough to feed a whole group! I highly recommend sharing! All the savory dishes we had, as well as the dessert, were really flavorful and rich....
Knew it was a good sign when every table had at least one Asian person. Most customers were Asian families. The fish dry pot and kung pao chicken were great! The kung pao chicken was actually slightly spicy like it's supposed to be! I would advise against getting the pickled fish / sauerkraut fish 酸菜鱼. It was just plain bland. Main dishes comes with rice, waiter / waitress will ask you how many bowls you need.

For the kids / non spicy customers there...
Really enjoyed this meal today. The fish in chili oil was super flavorful and authentic, with just the right amount of spice. The crispy dishes and dumplings were also delicious, and the portions were generous. Great place for sharing food with friends if you like spicy Sichuan-style cuisine!
Queshi haochi, zhongguoren bupian zhongguoren!
