Four of us went on a Saturday night to celebrate my sister's birthday. We requested outside dining, which we had done successfully a couple of years ago before Covid. Every dish was excellent, from the foie gras we shared to the three main dishes we ordered: two trout, filet mignon and lamb chops. We have been going to Petit Rouge for several years, usually for special occasions such as Valentine's Day. The food and service, with the same long time staff, remain consistently outstanding. A very memorable birthday dinner!
Outstanding dinner, excellent service, sat outside watching biscayne traffic and parked cars, due to COVID-19. Will be back for top quality food, wine and service👍👍👍
A fantastic experience during the pandemic. Petit Rouge gave us faith that the Miami dining scene is still alive and well. Our meal was delightful and delicious and the staff was very attentive. We had potato pancakes with creme fraiche and caviar to start. I had the mesculan salad and my husband had the Caesar. I had the trout with a beautiful caper and butter sauce with perfectly done green beans. My husband had a juicy roast chicken and wonderfully seasoned fries. We tested ourselves to profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce at the end. Truly a pleasurable experience and sincerely delectable food. We can't wait to return!
Excellent food and service. The mushroom barley soup to start and had the superbly prepared salmon and my wife had the trout. The frits are so good which I had with the salmon. For desert had the porfitiroles. All in all a great meal and absolutely superb servers that make you feel really special. Will definitely be going back.
We ordered the mignon and the trout both dishes were outstanding as was the split pea soup great service I would ask for David the waiter highly recommend this restaurant
Food was one of the best ever. Place is too small and a little noisy. Ambiance is really basic and simple needs improving.
Amazing Food. Amazing Service Place needs a makeover but the Chef is amazing as is his food
Quaint French bistro. Side range of delicious food to choose from..menu not overwhelming. It was a special occasion and they honored my request with a mouse and a candle. Lovely. The waiter, david, was extremely attentive without being overbearing.
My first visit; but my date had been there. Cozy, quaint and super food. Slow paced meal with lots of one on one date-like converse. Excellent and we will be back. Alan Mutnick

We had a wonderful meal, got there a bit before our reservation, but they were able to sit us. We started with nice crusty warm bread; for appetizers we had the Escargots & the Mussles, wonderful!! Entrees: the Rack or Lamb with mustard breadcrums and the Filet with peppercorn sauce, both cooked perfectly (medium) excellent ! Dessert Chocolate Pot De Creme creamy dark chocolate & the Creme Caramel, so soft it melted in the mouth. We took our own wine, corkage fee is $30.00, but they havea nice selection of wines. The place is tiny, I dont think they can accomodate more than 30 guests so plan accordingly.
Le Petit Rouge is as close as you can get in N. Miami to a first rate family owned small restaurant in Paris The food is memorable with high quality ingredients used by a skilled and creative chef. The service is excellent even with two competent and caring servers handling the entire dining room (fewer than 12 tables indoors) which by 8PM is full. Of special note is the outstanding onion soup, salmon tartare, calves liver with onions, and any of the wonderful pates. But you can count on unqualified excellence with most of the apps, main courses and desserts, especially the exceptionally super chocolate mousse which tastes like velvet nirvana. The only self serving suggestion for customer-centric improvement is to lower the corkage fee from $30 for wines that diners bring that are not on the restaurant's wine menu.
Petit Rouge is a very small and quaint restaurant. The food ranged from very good to excellent. Highly recommend the escargot, watercress salad and trout. Ample to large portions. Great service. Very nice people. The only issue we had was that it was full and it was very loud, which is a deterrence to us. If you don't mind that, then add one star to the review.
We liked the small size of the restaurant, but progress could be made in terms of soundproofing and lighting. The menu was short and very french, the portions very large, too large in fact, be it for appetizer or main course. We found prices on the high end for the main dishes, but outrageous for sides, $10 for fries, and coffee, $ 4.00? The food quality was good, but the cooking points not respected. May be the cook should invest in a chronometer? I use one for my BBQ! The wine selection was good, but again, on the pricey side. 20% above competition... In short: 1 improve ambiance with soundproofing and lighting 2 cook with a chronograph. 3 reduce portion sizes and prices. Then, it will be perfect!
This is a small restaurant in a strip mall. It does not look like much, but the food is excellent, the service was attentive. I started with the French onion soup (of course) and my wife had sweet breads. The rack of lamb was excellent, as was the profiteroles dessert. We will be back.Reservations are a must.
