a hidden gem. truly incredible authentic french food. i ate every single crumb on my plate. the escargot is to die for in every way served. the beef tartare you order in advance with your reservations and is made to perfection (and i consider my self a tartare pro!) the creme brûlée is AMAZING too!

My wife is French and we recently visited Sint Maarten and we dined at many French restaurants there and Escargot Bistro Contends with the best of them. Truly authentic French cuisine. We only wish we didn’t live 4 hrs away so we could dine here more often.

I have had this restaurant saved for a while and recently read the reviews where a number of people mentioned having a 3 course meal for lunch for a great price (between $22.95 - $26.95). I am here to say - IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!

Escargot Bistro is a quaint restaurant in Oakland Park owned by a loving family where the wife is the cook and the husband was the server. He was attentive, personable, kind, and checked in on me frequently. The food was out of this world! In my opinion, it is better than most of the restaurants I tried when I visited Paris in 2023. The family cooks with love and my only regret is that I haven’t been here sooner. I will be back soon and will be sure to tell others about it!

Went to Escargot Bistro in Ft. Lauderdale. They have an awesome lunch special that comes with an appetizer, main course, and dessert. The portions are very generous.

The restaurant has a capacity of 38. When my friend and I arrived, we were promptly greeted and seated by the owner. He was extremely cordial and told us their specials for the day. I ordered the escargot au gratin, crepe ho la la (yes, that is the name), and creme brulee. Everything was delicious.

My favorite was the escargot au gratin, even though there were only 2 escargot in there. I wasn't expecting more since the price was so low for lunch. The escargot was on top of a large artichoke heart and smothered with cheese. There were sauteed mushrooms on a bed of lettuce and sun-dried roasted tomato dressing.

The crepe was stuffed with chicken, spinach, mozzarella, and bechamel sauce.

The creme brulee was great. The sugar was perfectly caramelized.

The food was exquisite and reasonably priced. We had a 3-course lunch with French onion soup, chicken mushroom crêpe, and crème brûlée. It was delicious!

Everything was 5 out of 5. Amazing. The owner was very friendly and respectful, he answered every question my family and I had, the french onion soup was even better than the one I had in france. You will never find a restaurant that makes it better. This place is out of this world! The portion for the escargot was good, the price reasonable, and the taste honestly felt like I was entering heaven. I will definitely be back! They also have very very good wine. It's worth the drive, the price, the time, everything. 10 out of 10!

First time at this restaurant, we had the onion soup, and we shared the escargot with the poached eggs. The food was amazing. The escargot with the poached eggs was delicious extremely heavy for me so next time I will order something a little lighter.
The French fries were the best I have ever had.
They have a lot of specials.
They have a lunch menu Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
I will definitely go back. My husband and I love escargot.

Of course we ordered escargot and French onion soup. I ordered the beef Wellington and my husband ordered the lamb shank. Everything we ordered was exceptional. I have worked at fine dining places and this place is top notch.

This place is exceptional! What an unexpected and exquisite surprise. This place is small, cozy, charming and I’ve never had better French food, not even in France! I would come back many many many times. The goat cheese salad embraced all my senses. Amazing. All we had far exceeded our expectations. 100 stars for sure. We are planning our return. ?

My husband brought me to this gem for a date night. It is a family-owned bistro with the family coming from Marseille, France. The food was excellent! I had the boeuf bourgenion and my husband had the lamb shank. We started with a warm goat cheese salad and ended with creme brulee. If you like escargo, they have several on the menu. This is a charming restaurant run by the nicest and most hospitable family! If you want real, French cuisine, then you must try Escargo Bistro!

Stephan, the owner is so welcoming, and provides amazing table service from the kitchen, the chef,his wife,is peerless with a great bistro menu backed up by lovely daily specials. I cannot recommend L'escargo highly enough, you will notbe disappointed.
