We originally stopped by Meal in a Pie for frozen Boerewors but couldn’t resist trying their fresh pies—and we’re so glad we did! We grabbed a lamb curry, shepherd’s pie, and beef sausage roll. The pie crust was honestly the best I’ve ever had: buttery, flaky, and perfectly baked. The fillings were plentiful, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients.

This restaurant is my standby when I need a Hardy balanced meal in a pie. Food is hot. It is fresh and well seasoned . They also have those really good beef jerkies called biltong We got the curry chicken and beef pastry. Very very tasty and the curry was very flavorful with some spice which I love. Absolutely the best meat pies you have ever eaten…the crust and meat filling is amazing! Since these are so delicious you will want to bring a cooler and purchase some frozen meat pies to make at home. They carry yummy South African items in the market and best butter cookies. You will be glad you found this wonderful gem of a place!
