Red Velvet Kitchen & Grill

We've been to this restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed the food on both occasions. The fried chicken and fish were both tasty, and the yams and mac and cheese were almost as good as my grandma's. The signature Red Velvet cornbread put a colorful twist on a familiar classic. However, the oxtails missed the mark because they were not as well stewed as they should have been. Service was 5-star, but that might have been because no one else was in the restaurant while we were there. I hope that's not a troubling sign, because I'm planning to go back.

I was introduced to Red Velvet Mother's Day of 2024 and after the amazing meal I had that day, I have to frequently treat myself with their food on a monthly basis. Their Salmon, green beans, and rice are my favorites, but from what I've heard from other patrons EVERYTHING is good. I'm glad my mother recommended that we try this restaurant, and I don't think you will be disappointed if you are looking for some flavorful soul food. Also I'm always greeted and served with postive energy and a wonderful smile.

Love this place the food and staff are amazing always clean and sanitary properly the taste and season to the food is phenomenal I will always go here the turkey wings and oxtails are my favorite and the sweet potato pie melts in your mouth I love this place

Visited this spit for repast on a Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere and service was something to be desired. Staff attentive, food choice selections for event weee magnificent food prepared to order served within a timely manner, non alchoholic drinks were refreshing. A must visit again

I drive by this place all the time and went in for the rest time on Father’s Day. The food was good and the service was on point. I’ll definitely be back!

First visit & it didn’t disappoint. The recommendations were on point. Food was delicious with generous portions; service good but a bit slow. Music & decor added to the ambiance. Good vibes, overall it was a great experience. Me & my Family will definitely be back!

We came here for our weekly dinner for our girls night out and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing. The service was awesome. The atmosphere of this restaurant is superb. It is nicely decorated and has classic jazz/r&b vibes. It’s a perfect date spot, perfect spot for ladies night out, and perfect spot to have a private party. It was amazing. This was one of our favorite Ladies Night Dinners and WE WILL BE RETURNING. The owner and cook Marshell was such a beautiful and classy lady. She made us feel so welcome.

Red Velvet is a hidden gem, with gems throughout the dining experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, chill, and pleasant. The food is delicious. The smothered pork chops were fork-tender. The okra and tomatoes weren’t slimy, and the red velvet cornbread was moist! Paired with a damn good Strawberry Hennesey, the experience was everything. Thank you, Miss Shell, for the great food, and Ebony, for exceptional service.

I very much enjoyed myself. Thank you I finally found great mac n cheese. Omg yes someone who makes green beans the right way... the fried chicken was clucking good. I'm definitely locked in this location, I will b returning regularly... I want to try the whole menu now. Also the atmosphere is totally a TLC vibe music was Terrific, the Food was Lovely, and the service Caring. I appreciate these things when eating out, yet wanting that home food feeling.

My family & I were visiting from CT & wanted some real home cooked soul food. We went on TikTok & after contemplating many options we chose this place (I’m so glad we did!!!). EVERYTHING was delicious & tasted like my mama made it. We ordered the smothered turkey wings, smothered pork chops, fried chicken wings, oxtails, white rice, collard greens, yams, Mac & cheese, fried okra, & the red velvet cornbread (which comes with every meal & taste just like regular cornbread). We were so hungry that we forgot to take a picture lol. They played old school Saturday morning cleaning music (if you know you know ?) which was perfect for the Sunday dinner vibe. The staff was amazing & the portions were perfect! I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some authentic soul food.
