It's a wonderful place to enjoy lunch and shop for a wide variety of gift items as well. The Reuben and corn chowder were delicious and it was hard to decide which sweet treat to indulge in. I decided on the chocolate chip cookie icing sandwich and was beyond thrilled!

We had lunch here while visiting Ocala. Service was the best, all the servers helping each other to take care of the customers. The food was delicious. We had the egg salad platter, Ruben’s, a ham sandwich, and cake. Bought 2 full cakes to go. Definitely will be back when going to Ocala. Might make a special trip just to go!

I ordered a cake and paid extra for the design and color. The color was not what was ordered and the design did not match the photo supplied. I have no issues with the quality of their cakes , but I expected the design to be closer and the color to be what was ordered. They were even supplied a photo. Very disappointed. I took the cake even though it wasn’t what I ordered because it was needed today. I feel I should be re-imbursed for the artwork.

Their cakes use to be delicious and unique. Not sure what’s the reason, but they taste different. I had ordered a German chocolate with chocolate icing, and I specifically asked her to make note of the icing… I did not want that cover of nuts and pure sugar they keep decorating them with. And sure enough… I go to pick up the cake and there it was. I had no choice but to take it, I had a birthday that same day at the time of pick up. And the taste is no longer what made Betty cakes the best in town. Their quality and taste was exceptional. That is no longer the case. I rather go to Publix and for less, I get better and tastier cakes. 👎

I eat at Betty Cakes quite often. I love the chicken salad and the Rubens. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful. They have a large list of delicious cakes and pies. I order them all the time for office party's and family celebrations. Wouldn't buy my cakes anywhere else. A place to have your cake and eat it to.
This review is just a poor customer experience. I ordered a strawberry cake because I had tried theirs during a work event. They made me a carrot cake and called for me to pick it up. I explained that I didn’t order a carrot cake and I cannot eat carrots so I can’t pick up the cake. They said if I wanted a new cake I had a to pay for the cake and make a new order. I didn’t want to risk my life over a 34 dollar cake so I let them keep the money and the cake 😩. Cakes are DELICIOUS but PLEASE read the receipt and make sure the order is correct so you won’t have this experience.

I have never been made to feel like Betty Cakes was doing me a favor when ordering cupcakes and a cake, not the service that I have had in the past which leads me to concerns the product that they’re going to put out, not sure what’s going on there? Sad because I really used to think the world of Betty Cakes products service and atmosphere. Ocala is growing and has other options.
