The menu features hearty, freshly made comfort food with bold flavors. For breakfast, standout dishes include the chock full southwest omelette with jalapeño, perfectly cooked steak and cheese omelette, steaming hot pancakes with great flavor, and scratch-made biscuits and potatoes. The grits are noted as the best ever. Lunch and dinner highlights are the incredibly juicy big man’s fried chicken, tender fried pork chops, fresh collard greens and okra, a huge fish sandwich, and smothered chicken. Sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, lima beans, and sweet potatoes are all recommended. Save room for the homemade peanut butter pie, described as silky and rich. Portions are generous, prices are good, and everything is made to order, providing a great experience of good southern food.
