I got the Big Man’s Wings (VERY flavorful; seasoned / marinated then fried) with mac & cheese and green beans. Hubs got the cajun shrimp loaded potato and LOVED it. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Ocala!

Try the fried okra!! It was delicious. I came for lunch and had a burger. It was hot and delicious with a large portion of fries. Also, they have a giant loaded potato. I didn’t get to try it but would next time!

If you want good southern breakfast and lunch, this is the place to be!! The atmosphere is amazing. The staff continue to check on you to make sure you’re doing okay and have what you need. You can tell the food is made with love because it shows. Family-oriented and just an all around good time!

I go a lot of places pretty much all over Florida part of Georgia and if I decide to take a trip here and there but this place was really good for breakfast I haven't tried lunch yet but the breakfast was the bomb service was fast courteous and the restaurant looks really nice on the inside It looks like they even have a small bar I suggest trying this spot for local restaurant it's right up there with major chains as far as looks and service and the food is definitely better!

Best fried chicken sandwich, cucumber salad, and peanut butter pie I’ve ever had. Environment and mashed potatoes with gravy had room for improvement but otherwise it’s as good as it gets!
Had lunch here today and the food was excellent! So glad we went looking for this restaurant on our trip, we will be back. I cannot say enough good things about the excellent service too. It’s hard to find a place that makes true southern comfort food & this place has it.

I am so happy I stumbled upon this place. The ladies serving were absolutely phenomenal and hilarious! I was going to review just based off of their service even if the food was bad. BUT the food was delicious too. Great food, amazing service, and huge portions combined. Definitely made a regular out of me.

I was super excited to come here as I found it online and my mom lives in the area. My mom and I both got 1/4 fried chicken dinner with green beans. Both of us had a few bites only to find that there was blood and raw meat pink rubbery meat for both of our chickens. The green beans were definitely not home cooked and tasted like they were out of a can. We sent the food back and my step dad finished eating his safe dinner which was a tasteless loaded baked potato and bland seasoned rice. They said they got a new cook. They offered to just take everything of the ticket even though we offered to pay. Very disappointed. Oh well. We then went to another restaurant after. What a time suck.

My friend from work recently recommended Big Man’s Cafe in Ocala on 14th. We arrived on a Thursday mid afternoon. I had the smothered oxtail. My buddy got the fried pork chops. Our sides included collards, cornbread stuffing, cucumber salad, and fried okra. Wow!!! Totally gourmet Southern cooking. What I most appreciate were the tasteful seasonings without being too salty. Big Man was there to introduce us personally to his restaurant. Very friendly environment. Apparently they are super packed on weekends.
