Visited while on vacation from Maine, and I’ve had BBQ all across the country—this place easily ranks in my top 10 must-try spots. The atmosphere was awesome, the staff was super friendly, and the cocktails were spot on. 10/10—would absolutely come back again!

Wow....Blown away. Some of the best comfort food I've ever had in my life. The fried onion rings were outstanding. The ribs....perfect. The fried chicken and gravy is also great.

The service was very fast despite it being moderately busy. Our server wasn't warm or friendly, but she was also serving a party of 12-15 people. As someone who's worked in food service, I understand the need to keep moving. She still met our needs and didn't miss a beat.

Inside, the restaurant is dimly lit and feels very southern. The decor is nice. We didn't have any drinks because this was a stop on a road trip. Next time we travel to St. Augustine, we will for sure stop here to eat again. I can't say enough good things about Brick City. Just go.

First time in Ocala ... had a craving for some BBQ...had the Boom Boom Shrimp and Brisket Nachos... absolutely amazing flavor...staff was awesome... can't wait to make it back there .. 10 stars... ?

My wife and I loved the food. The staff were all very nice, and if you beat the dinner crowd it is a very nice, rustic atmosphere. I had the Club sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be going back!

Vegetarian options: One option is to have four of the sides as your meal and it can make a very good meal for any vegetarian.

We were out discovering Ocala when we decided to try this spot. Best decision of the night! The food was fantastic! The setting was dimly lit and the music was great. Definitely enjoyed the mood it set. The service was great, too. We sat at the bar so we could watch the game too. Our bartenders were friendly and kept our glasses full. We will be back again to try more of the menu.

Damn good BBQ! Honestly, we were just driving through Ocala and didn’t have high expectations, just stopped by because of the high ratings and good reviews. Wow. We were blown away by the quality of the BBQ, and all of the food. We tried the 4 meat salad (let me tell you… that was a steal. There are literally 4 different types of smoked meats in huge quantities on a salad… our Texan friend said it was the best salad he has ever had), the BBQ Reuben (the brisket was amazing, the coleslaw and sauce and garlic bread…it all came together so well), the pulled pork platter and the chicken cheddar bacon entree. The baked beans were good, very meaty. The sweet potato mash was delicious, very reminiscent of the classic Thanksgiving side dish. Everything more than surpassed expectations. As we left, we even thought of making a dedicated trip to Ocala soon to return (we live in Orlando so that’s about a 1.5 hour drive). Definitely a great restaurant, quality food.

Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu and crayons, the vibe of the restaurant is chill.

Great food and great atmosphere.
We had the brisket burnt ends appetizer, southern fried chicken and sliced brisket plate. Oh and don't forget to get the banana pudding. Everything was amazing I will definitely be back

I refuse to pay for water down alcohol. Had a shot of crown on the rocks and it was more water than alcohol. I have crown at home. You thieves ought to be ashamed of yourselves

Hubby & I just tried Brick City Southern Kitchen today. The hostess was pleasant. I have to say no disappointment in our server Jarred or our meal. Both were fantastic. Great fast service. Best barbecue we've had in a long time. Everything was awesome. We recommend it definitely. thanks.

They consistently have good food here and decent service. The thing we don't like about it is that the servers are never friendly and never smile. It is like they don't want to be there.
Yes, they are efficient and bring food out in a reasonable time. But every single time we go, the servers are grumpy and really seem like we are a bother. We are going to stop coming here. It doesn't make for a very enjoyable meal.
