I grew up in Miami Alapada. I have been eating here since I moved to Ocala 20 years ago. Definitely the closest you are going to get to what I would consider home. In nort central Fl. The owner is awesome. But sometimes you get some young new blood as the cashier that's less then friendly. But hey that's life. Overall great food, good environment. Been going there for 18 of the 20 years I've been here. It's for good reason . Most small restaurants open and close. This one has withstood the test of time.

I went to the salon next door on a Saturday was very excited when see the rest sign. But unfortunately it isn’t open on saturdays. They should be, it has a good location and many stores, barbershop and salon.

Average Cuban sandwich at best. Pork was ok, but the ham was the cheapest money can buy. Seemed to be more like a Miami style *no salami) and I don't know what the bread was. I been eating Cuban bread from LA Segunda since 1979, and this sandwich was not on Cuban bread. Most likely won't ever go back. Step up your game, Ocala.

Love Louis and Laura. Family owned and operated. Great Cuban home cooking and plenty of choices. Be sure to ask for a Cuban coffee shot and some of the crackling. Only wish they were open later and/or on weekends.

First timer man behind counter gave me few foods to taste I went w/ the Cuban sandwich it was pretty good price was good little busy business wanted a tray to take home my left overs was ignored or forgotten by server and the man behind the counter left my left overs and went my merry way. They also were giving out expresó shots Kinda Loud place.
Parking: It’s in a small plaza luckily I found parking.

The most amazing and Authentic Cuban I've had that my father didn't cook!! Truly great. If you're in the area and you don't stop here to eat, extend your arm and slap yourself!! The fried yuca, ropa vieja, and black beans are packed with traditional flavors. I will most definitely return here when I'm back in the area!
