Ordered take out, food was okay to me my boyfriend said his spicy shrimp was good. Not from around here & was in the area & wanted Chinese. Until now I’ve never received Chinese food with the rice & protein (shrimp & broccoli etc) in the same plastic container before. Hate the idea. If I want to have left overs/save some food the rice is going to be all soggy & soak up all the sauce already. Asked for hot oil & they acted as if they didn’t know what “hot oil”was all because it’s an “extra charge”.

We’ve been going to china king for over 6 yrs now it was ruff through covid. We survived I felt the food was going down hill over the last year. But hello we order a fairly large order and the food was remarkable. Everything was hot fresh and delicious. Love love love it!!! We will definitely put China King back into our solid meal rotation.

Presentation is good, but the food was just okay. I got the sesame chicken combination. I decided to try this place out since it was close and I drive past it often. Staff is friendly, and to the point. Place looks nice, and the bathroom was clean. I just wish the food was just as good. The chicken was overcooked and chewy which the sauce didn’t really help it, the broccoli didn’t have a crunch, the rice was what you can expect for pork fried rice so no complaints there. I’d go to any other Chinese place to be honest. As the kids say, “It’s mid fam.”

I’ve been ordering take out from here for around 6 years and this is my first review. I’ve ordered different soups, combination platters, General Tso, sesame, lots of tofu, veggies, lo mein — I’ve had it all! It has slapped EVERY single time. The portions are great for what you pay, I always go inside to pick up, and the dining and kitchen appear very clean. Nice owners always courteous and get my order right when I call it in. Best take out in the area!! A pic of sesame chicken combo, it was delicious!

Like most places, different restaurants have different dishes that are better than others. I usually come to China King (SR200/484 in front of Walmart) if I’m craving their Vegetable Lo Mein as their meat dishes are low quality. Called again today to place my order ahead of time and they wanted my card number over the phone. Uhhhhh, no. Hard pass. If you’re that worried about me picking up $20 worth of Chinese food then you must have some serious financial problems. I’ll take my business down the road to China Star.

I called to get me and my boyfriend dinner I called and ordered the person took my debit card number over the phone and charged me then we went to pick up our order and they charged my card again I called twice getting a run around about my money would b refunded in just a few minutes waiting til the next day and still was not credited my money a 32.00 meal cost me 64.00 do not recommend coming here they will rip u off

Review for China King – Ocala (SR 200) This was my second time visiting China King on SR 200 for takeout. The food is decent, and the wings are actually quite good. However, both visits were overshadowed by the poor customer service I experienced—specifically from the gentleman working the front counter. During my first visit, I noticed his demeanor was aggressive, rude, and somewhat arrogant. I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt, assuming he might have been having a bad day. Unfortunately, my second visit confirmed that this behavior wasn’t an isolated incident. What stood out this time was witnessing the same employee interact with a white gentleman ahead of me—he was kind, respectful, and even cheerful in tone. When it was my turn, the tone immediately shifted. He slammed my food on the counter and spoke to me with the same dismissive and hostile attitude as before. As an African-American man who is new to the area, having recently built a home here, I’ve made it a point to approach every place and person with kindness and respect. To be treated with such hostility—especially in contrast to how others were treated right before me—is deeply disheartening and unacceptable. I don’t know this man’s experiences or mindset, but the difference in treatment was noticeable, and I can’t ignore the possibility that it was racially motivated. Regardless of the reason, no one should have to pay to be treated with such disrespect. This is the first time I’ve encountered this kind of treatment in the Ocala area, and while I had hoped to support local businesses, I’ve made the decision not to return to this location. I believe it’s important for others to be aware of how customers may be treated here. We all deserve to be acknowledged with basic decency and professionalism—nothing less.
