I went to El Toro this afternoon after running errands all day in Ocala. It was quiet inside because the afternoon rush hadn't begun yet. My waitress was quick to get me seated and bring my drink to me. I had the beef fajita plate and it was loaded with delicious tender steak smothered with onions and green bell peppers . There was a second plate that contained refried beans, spanish rice, guacamole, and fresh chopped lettuce and tomatoes. Also warm tortillas. For a little over $20, it was a very delicious and satisfying meal and I will be back toEl Toro, hopefully for Cinco de Mio.If you go there, expect to enjoy yourselves and your meal.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessable.

Me and my family had the carne asada taco dinner. The shell was hard and crispy then all the other time we order. The meat was chewy and dry. The beans were cold and the rice was cold. The whole meal was cold. This is however, the first time in over 4 years that we have ever had a bad meal here.

Everything was really, really great, the food and drinks. Service was pretty alright too, but we were there on a busy night, so understandably, the servers were busy. The food did take a bit to get out.My only true complaint is that the spacing of tables is a bit too much for me. Indoor seating is very close-quartered, and it's hard for everyone to squeeze through the tables if you have to leave to use the restroom or even just initially sit down. There's not a huge outdoor eating area, either.

3 of us behind us were 2 people told 10 min. Mind you I speak Spanish. They didn't know that. In comes a party of 5 who seemed to know the staff. They were told 10 mins and then sat immediately. Be careful what you say when you dont know who understands. Used to go regular. NOT EVER AGAIN. My $$$ spends anywhere.

Stopped on our way to Silver Springs. Service is great and a huge selection of food to choose from. Pretty busy here for a reason.

I was not impressed with this place. The front is chaotic and unorganized. We were cut by another couple to be put on the waitlist when we had been waiting for a few minutes. Thought the food would be great with how long a wait we had, that was wrong. Not authentic Mexican at all. The chips and salsa weren’t great - the chips tasted store bought. The enchiladas are made with flour tortillas for some reason. My husband’s burrito was large, but the meat had a weird sweet flavor. My steak tacos also had an overwhelming sweet flavor. We won’t be back.

My husband and I enjoyed St Patricks Day (I know, not an irish place) but we'd been wanting to try this place and it had an outdoor patio and perfect night for dining outside! It is casual, clean and the waitress was friendly, beautiful and efficient. I had the most amazing avocado salad..fresh as can be and my husband a mixed plate. I ate part of his because he had so much he couldn't eat it all. The prices were reasonable. We will definitely go back!Vegetarian options: salads, beans, rice, lots of optionsDietary restrictions: I had the avocado salad.vegetarian and so fresh and great!Parking: lots of parking available

***if you're reading this trying to decide where to eat, just go and read the rest on the way...***Seriously... Just go.Talk about great Mexican food with a fresh minty mojito served with a smile, and you're talking about El Toreo on Silver Springs Blvd! For years, my wife and I have loved going there to decompress in a cheerful atmosphere with friendly staff that are genuinely glad to see us.The vibrant colors and smiling patrons, the owner himself coming to the table just to say "hi", asking how you've been, and making sure everything is just right. (And he's like that with EVERYBODY.)THE BEST MOJITO I'VE EVER HAD (and I don't even really drink),and a hot plate overfull of delicious food! All of this and it's VERY affordable!Unique for itself; This is one of Ocala's "hidden gems".UPDATE:Nothing has changed, they're still awesome!
