Great Wall Restaurant

This place is easy in and out. The food is always ready when I get there. The food is much better then other choices like it. In my opinion.

We are visiting in Ocala this winter and read lots of reviews while searching for a great Chinese lunch place. Our first stop was at the Great Wall Chinese restaurant in the Six Guns Plaza shopping center. Since we like spicier foods, we both chose a spicy shrimp dish from the Lunch Special menu. A great value at $9.50 gets you the entree (enough for two lunches) rice and a choice of a can of soda, soup or egg roll. The meal was nicely cooked with crisp tender vegetables and nice size shrimp. Even though we ordered meals designated as spicy on the menu, they were a little tame for our Louisiana taste buds. Next time we will just have to ask for extra spicy, but they did give us some chili oil when requested. Very nice woman at the counter and the food was promptly prepared. They have about four tables, so you can eat there if you care to. I think we have found our go-to Chinese place for next two months!

Horrible experience. My wife called in a order for egg drop soup as she was craving it. She ordered 2 pork eggrolls on the side. Were told to come pick up in 10 - 15 mins. Waited 15 mins and went to pick up the order. When I got there They told me they no longer had Egg Drop soup But would it be ok for wonton soup. I said yes until I noticed they put the order way in back and it would take another 15 mins for the order. So I changed my mind and said no i want my money back. The guy at the front desk started giving me mouth about no no no. Suddenly i was given a bag with the soup and told here you go... when I got home my wife said the soup tasted awful. It wasn't even chicken soup but watered down. They only gave us like 3 wontons. It was really bad... Not even any kind of spices or anything. Just blah..... Never going back. If they can't even call back to say they ran out of something at least have the decency to make a respectable soup. It wasn't like I was angry and ranting about their not having our original, but I'd rather they respect my wished and given me the money back.

Great experience!!! One of my favorites in town. Don't let any other reviews sway your chance to try this out. I spent over 60 dollars and every single item ordered was top notch. Not like some of these others that are a hit or miss. Very nice service as well.

One of the best in Ocala. Quick, courteous, and very friendly, truly an experience to be had. Take their offer on the house made sauce, it goes perfectly with everything.

Absolutely incredible. I got general tso, egg roll, egg drop soup, and crab Rangoon. All of it was very nicely seasoned and the homemade duck sauce was delicious and flavorful. 1000% will return.

Egg roll was like warm. The pork fried rice lacks pork. 5 little pieces on top. Maybe a half a teaspoon worth. No fresh broccoli in the entree. $13.00 dollars.
The place is run down. Rusty chair and table legs don't look safe to sit on. Floor looks dirty. Don't think I will ever go back........

On a recommendation, I ordered 4 combo meals and crab ragoon. The honey chicken was very mushy and not very sweet. The egg foo young was swimming in oil. Beef/broccoli was edible, and the Mongolian beef was tough. The egg rolls were tasty, but the crab ragoon was not. It was my first (and last ) time eating their food.
