We can only speak of our dish. People we were with enjoyed their salad and tacos. We had the fish and chips and it was not cooked long enough. Breading was done but fish was raw. Did not get our slaw that came with it but don’t want to complain because then who knows what you will get. Server was good and the beer was cold but no need to give them our business again.

My first time eating dinner here. Alyssa our server was terrific! This was the best prime rib I've had in years. Tender and cooked to perfection! Can't wait to go back.

We stopped in on our way back to Cedar Key. We did appetizers, drinks and desserts. Misty our waitress was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather.

Just not as nice inside as you'd expect - a little dated and tiny TV's. But the food and staff were GREAT!!

Everything was great and they handled a large group, with lots of dogs, in grand fashion!

I was so excited to come to this restaurant from all of the things I heard about it. But when I got here, the smile quickly left. Seating outside was quaint and cozy, seemly clean. Inside however, what a different story! I expected the inside to look like the pictures on line. But I must have walked into a different building, the inside is so dirty looking, really dated, and the furniture is so cheap looking and feeling. Especially the tables for 2. Poor guys, those 2 have no room. If I am going to gladly pay over $100.00 for dinner, I would expect a clean looking restaurant, updated furniture, a much better atmosphere. I don't mind Trivia or Bingo, but that could have been done outside or in the back of the building. Honestly, a horse barn would have been cooler to eat in and perhaps represent a Horse and Hound name better. This is the first place I have ever had a Filet Mignon come out with fat on it and had to use a knife to cut the whole thing. My husband's Ribeye was tough and looked like a car mat. It is what it is guys, a sad disappointment. I really hope this place does a makeover, until then we will not be back and yes, I will be sharing my experience because it's what I do. When I was walking out, I had to look back at the name of the restaurant to make sure it was the Horse and the Hound I just ate at. People, clean your place up! Fix the atmosphere inside, call Gordon Ramsay to show you how to cook a Filet Mignon and a Ribeye. My husband and I are still on the hunt to find the perfect steak. I feel like we are on an African Safari trying to find the right chef, there has to be one out there somewhere!

Loved the food, drinks and atmosphere BUT the service was awful! Our server "greeted" us with a "hi, I'm busy tonight, what do you want to drink, are you ready to order everything so I can get this done, I just got two more tables!" Rude as hell! There were 5 of us, we were at the World Equestrian Center all day and just wanted good food and some drinks. We all 5 ordered prime rib, 4 appetizers and 5 drinks, we spent almost $400 + tip. After the experience with that server it's safe to say if she's there again we will leave.

The food was decently good but lacked a lot of the bold flavor of the original dishes. The fish and chips was fine but nothing special. The Sheppards pie (pretty sure that's what I got) was entirely unmemorable and the drinks were pretty good but not as original as the menu made the flavors sound and the Australian Shepherd had WAY too much fruit juice. The service was decent but our server was timid and largely absent. She also seemed slightly put off that we're a gay couple.I've rated the atmosphere low because it was aesthetically quite nice but the clientele were not. The table next to us made homophobic comments when one of the employees asked them how they were doing and then similar comments to us. It's a shame that something like that reduced my rating of this establishment but we have no intention of returning so the rating fits.
