Overall, the food was excellent. The bacon‑wrapped chicken and beef were especially delicious, and the other meats were tender and flavorful. The salad bar offered a great variety, with both prepared salads and plenty of fresh ingredients for building your own.

The hot bar featured mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, beef stroganoff, and mushroom gravy. I tried the potatoes and stroganoff and enjoyed both. I would have appreciated a selection of fresh, hot vegetables, but I didn’t see any available on the self‑service bars.

Service was very good, especially considering our party of 15 and the fact that it was a busy holiday weekend night. To clarify, I’m referring to our server—though the food handlers also did an excellent job keeping our plates filled with fresh, hot meats.

If I’m back in Ocala, I’d be happy to return.

We have been loyal patrons of Ipanema Brazilian Steakhouse in Ocala for over a decade, celebrating holidays, company dinners, and many family milestones. Last night, we brought a party of nine for our grandson’s 14th birthday—his third or fourth birthday here, as it’s always been his favorite. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing.

Service was extremely slow. Our server visited the table only a few times, and drink refills were limited to one. My husband, seated at the end of the table, was never served meat while others were. We waved down multiple gauchos, but those carrying the cuts he wanted walked past without stopping. He ultimately had to ask the server for additional meat and the check after part of our party had already left.

Food quality has declined. The lamb chops, a longtime favorite, were repeatedly served blue raw with unrendered sinew. The Brazilian cheese bread was no longer readily available and had to be requested; when more was brought, it was rushed and undercooked.

While the restaurant remains beautiful, this was a disappointing experience for a $650 check. The $14.99 credit card fee added to the frustration, especially given the level of service. We hate to see a longtime family favorite heading in this direction and hope management address these issues.

When we arrived, we were told that they were short-staffed. I have to say, there was no way we would have known had they not told us. The service was absolutely fantastic and the food was delicious. Rafael was quick to bring the specific meats we requested as well as the marvelous pineapple - always smiling, and so kind and gracious. Every member of the staff was wonderful. Thank you to Genesis who seated us and Katherine our server as well as the rest of those who brought our food making sure our plates were never empty and also those who prepared all of food. You made our anniversary a perfect experience.

Food was great place was cool service was good but the entire dining experience was ruined by the Hispanic table next to us blasting kids shows on an iPad with a screaming kid, I was tempted to just walk out mid meal, youd think this place would have standards high enough for its price to dine here, do not come if youre looking for a peaceful evening

Went for my Dad's Birthday Dinner. Everything was excellent from the salad bar to the hot and fresh meats they bought out. $60 a person is a great deal for the service they provide and the quality of the meat they use. will be back in the future sooner rather then later. A+++

A very middling brazilian steakhouse. The attention from staff was stellar, the buffet had great selections, but the food was just not up to par. Everything was overcooked and the only really good meat that I even wanted by the end was the picanha.

Ipanema Restaurant delivered an absolutely incredible experience! Special thanks to Edwin and his entire staff - Everything from start to finish was spectacular. The service was warm and attentive, the food was outstanding, and the overall atmosphere made it feel like a truly special night out. Hands down one of the best dining expreriences I've had. Highly recommend!

The food was pretty amazing, it was definitely a different dinning experience, think high class golden corral. The restaurant was beautiful. The hours of operation are short, you will need a reservation, and the check will be hearty! Be prepared to pay upwards of $50 per person, on the low end. As it is a buffet/ ayce type restaurant there is no doggie bags, unless you order dessert.

This was a very clean and intimate atmosphere. Staff was very attentative, neatly dressed and polite. Food was top notch. Must try the pineapple. We will be back!
