This is a great Greek restaurant in Ocala. It's not like the other franchise/quick service restaurants in the area.
We were very happy to find this place.

I was craving Laki’s all week. I went today to get take out, service was amazing. I ordered The gyro platter to go and large salad. I got home. I opened it up and I was quite disappointed about the amount of meat that was on my gyro platter. I had six little pieces of meat. I’ve eaten in the restaurant many times before and there’s usually a plethora of meat. I am so disappointed in the amount of meat that I got in this it wasn’t enough for my husband to even eat dinner.

We recently visited Lakis Greek & Italian for dinner on a Monday evening with a party of 8. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately without a reservation, even with such a large group. The staff was welcoming and pleasant, and service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly — exactly the kind of hospitality you’d hope for when dining out.
Unfortunately, that’s where the experience started to fall short for us. We were excited to try Greek staples, but the Gyro platter — which should be a centerpiece of any Greek restaurant — didn’t deliver. Instead of the classic style of freshly carved meat from a gyro cone, ours was served as a preformed frozen patties. For a dish that’s a cornerstone of Greek cuisine, this preparation felt disappointing and lacking in the authentic flavor and texture you’d expect from a traditional gyro.
Other menu items were okay, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable enough for a casual group dinner. There are many online reviews praising the restaurant’s food and service, and we can see why — people clearly enjoy the place and its welcoming vibe.
However, because the gyro wasn’t what we hoped for — especially coming from a restaurant that markets Greek classics — we’re giving our visit three stars. Great service and good intentions, but the lack of authenticity in a signature dish really held the meal back for us.

The Gyro Salad was HUGE and wonderful. I had enough leftovers for another large lunch! The server was helpful and knowledgeable of the menu options.

We love Greek food to start with. This hidden gem is a very welcoming and friendly staff make you feeling like you are at home. My favorite is Lemon Roasted Potatoes. It’s always a good choice to combine with a Village Salad. They name it Horiatiki Salad. Full Horiatiki is a very generous size and easy to be shared between two people. Avgolemono soup is also always a great choice. It’s a typical eatery setup, simple and homey.

Moussaka, Spanakopita ( dinner size), gyro, pita, tzaziki and Patistio were very similar to what I've had at Hella's, Yanni's and Mykono's in Tarpon springs I will definitely come back for those.Im going to change my rating. Everything was FABULOUS . Also service was great!😍
