we waited over 20 minutes to be seated, granted it was a friday evening, but there were empty tables everywhere. after being seated we waited another 15 mins for a beverage, she took our order, 25 mins later she returns to tell us the cook is starting our pizzas and they would be done in 25-30 mins. we got up and left and no plans of returning soon. Oh I forgot, the manager said they would not charge us for the $4 appetizers we ordered. WOW

We went to Mellow Mushroom in Ocala, we got seated around 4:10pm we sat there until about 4:30 until someone came to take our drink order, we actually got our appetizer before our drinks, our server (Brett) came back and said “oh you guys didn’t get your drinks?” After we re-told him what our drinks were, we waiting ANOTHER 10-15 mins, at this point we have been here for close to 40 mins with no drinks. Finally our server brings our drinks, I ordered a lemonade but it was severely watered down, I waited again about 10 ish minutes for him to walk back to our table and asks if I could please exchange my lemonade for a sprite? He gets me my sprite and slams it and I mean slams it on the table. I still tell him Thank you, but he just walks away without saying anything. After we finish our Pizza, we sit for about 30 mins waiting for our server to come back so we could get a box and out check, but we got a little impatient and just went to the take out area instead, and the girl working there with curly red hair was 100x more helpful and nicer than our server. We got there around 4:10 and didn’t leave until closer to 6:30 ish.

It was my moms birthday dinner and by far some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Being a former server myself I can understand things happen but that was beyond to the point I was texting a family member who was on a plane the time stamp. Sat down at 6:58. 7:14 still had not had a server greet us. 7:32 still waiting on the drinks! 7:41 my sister calls the restaurant from an airplane to tell the restaurant to take care of my mom on her birthday. Few min later got drinks. 7:52 appetizer hits the table. 8:02 over an hour later we received a sloppy wet Caesar salad with 1 of the 2 pizzas wrong. Missing a calzone. 28 minutes later that hits the table and was not fully cooked. No apologies. Worst birthday dinner. We will def not be back. Sooooo disappointing. Had it not been downtown at Christmas, we would have walked out way before.

Mellow Mushroom is hands down one of the best pizza spots I’ve ever been to! The pizzas are absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and unique flavors you can’t find anywhere else. The crust is perfectly chewy, the toppings are generous, and every bite is packed with flavor. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, with creative decor that makes the dining experience even better. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making sure everything is perfect. If you’re a pizza lover, Mellow Mushroom is a must-visit. Highly recommend—it’s pizza perfection!

The staff was very nice and welcoming and the food was really YUMMY!! This is my new favorite pizza place . They don't skimp on the pizza toppings . I saw a waitress walk by with some kind of sandwich, and it was super loaded with all kinds of good stuff!!! If you haven't been here yet ... you are missing out ?

One of the best simple cheese pizzas I have had in a long time not overly salty crust nice and chewey great taste.. We had the 8 slice pie and at $ 11.00 dollars I thought it was a good buy. But as I looked around alot of other diners had some really exotic toppings on their pizzas so if you want something different go for it . The menue reflected that. Wait staff was considerate and as helpful as possible , you could tell they were new but eventually going to be great by their careing way. I suggest the other wait staff to be more attentive to helping out the new help. But from an old school New Yorker even with the cheese on the crust lol I will be back great tasting pizza.

I just want to change my review from my previous one, and I dont like to do those kinds of things. The first time I was there, everything was awesome, and the customer service was top-notch. However, today was a complete disappointment. I came with my son, who came from North Carolina to visit, and I suggested we go here because my first experience was so great.
Anyway, we arrived around 10:15 p.m., and we saw that they closed at 11:00 p.m., so we quickly placed our orders. The pizza arrived at 10:45 p.m., and we had already received our appetizer. When our pizza was delivered, our server was nowhere to be found, so I asked the lady who brought our pizza for some garlic and parmesan (she was not our server). We then asked the hostess for the same thing. After we had almost finished our pizza, our server finally brought the condiments. I asked if they could refill our drinks, which were almost empty, but when she returned, she said that the machine had been shut down because they were closed. Seriously?
After several minutes, she came back with to-go drinks and said that the staff wanted to go home because they were closed. In my life, I have never experienced a restaurant rushing me to finish my meal and leave. We were eating quickly, and I understood that they were closing soon, but if they didn't want to serve anyone else, they shouldn't have seated us. It was incredibly disrespectful to tell us to hurry up and leave while we were still eating.I don't tolerate that kind of attitude. I'm a nurse who works 13-hour night shifts, and I don't treat anyone like that. I always give good tips. Today, the attitude was such that it's better not to do those kinds of jobs. Yes, I will escalate this. My husband was very upset, as was my son, when we were trying to have a get-together.

Mellow Mushroom Ocala is nestled in the heart of downtown and offers pizzas with interesting twist. I tried the 3 mushrooms pizza with gluten free crust and it did not disappoint. Please note that gluten free crust is offered only with the small pizza. I also had the small garden salad and it had real fresh Parmesan cheese and fresh vegetables. I can’t wait to go back and try another entree.
