Mimi's Cafe Reviews
Tonight was my first visit to Mimi’s Cafe, after a movie at Epic Theaters. Libby was my server, such a delightful lady, and a wealth of information. The crab cakes were so delicious, that I ended up bringing home most of my dinner. Did I mention that ordered dessert to go? The kitchen staff knows what they are doing. Mimi’s will definitely be on my agenda next time I travel to Ocala for a movie. Treat yourself, you deserve it too.
The restaurant has a very nice menu and the prices are relatively reasonable. Food is good and there really is something for everyone. My only issue is the cost of their wines. Having worked at the local liquor store they have a bottle of wine at the restaurant that sells for $40 a bottle and $12 a glass. if you go to the liquor store that same bottle of wine is only $8.99. I'm sorry but that markup is disgusting and really deceiving to customers. That is the epitome of a scam.
My grandson says 5 **** review for kids pancakes!

Mimi's Cafe is a popular spot that serves delicious brunch options. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including Bloody Marys, Benedicts, and crab cake Benny's, which are highly praised. The service is prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. The food is of high standard, with options to suit different tastes. The menu includes a 3-course selection, and they also have vegetarian options such as the berry spinach salad, which can be customized to omit protein. Customers appreciate the good prices and the wide variety of menu choices that cater to many preferences. Many guests enjoy the friendly staff and welcoming environment, often noting that the staff go above and beyond to make visits special. The atmosphere is family-style, making it a comfortable place for gatherings. Recent reviews mention a first-time visit where the service and food, including a seasonal Birria omelet, were highly enjoyed, with customers eager to return. However, some have expressed disappointment with their last visit, citing undercooked eggs Benedict, toasted muffin with strong flavors, and burnt potatoes, describing the meal as overpriced and unappetizing. Despite a few issues, many visitors still find Mimi’s Cafe a good place for brunch, thanks to its friendly staff and diverse menu. Some celebrations, like birthdays, are enjoyed in private sections with great food and efficient service from staff like Serenity, making for a memorable experience.
