Tonight was my first visit to Mimi’s Cafe, after a movie at Epic Theaters. Libby was my server, such a delightful lady, and a wealth of information. The crab cakes were so delicious, that I ended up bringing home most of my dinner. Did I mention that ordered dessert to go? The kitchen staff knows what they are doing. Mimi’s will definitely be on my agenda next time I travel to Ocala for a movie. Treat yourself, you deserve it too.

Mix of an Italian restaurant and a Dennys. Very large menu. Had a citrus salmon. The salad was bland, strawberries, greens and minimal flavor dressing. Salmon, full of bones, unable to eat.

The stuff French toast is my favorite. I didn’t get a picture of it, but oh my goodness every time we come here the food is delicious. They cook it just as you ask and it is scrumptious. It’s always been a hit!

Our server was extremely personable. The French Onion soup was excellent!
We arrived for a 5:15 reservation and were told we had to wait for 20 min because they had parties of 15 people. I asked them if they specified the number of available seats on open table. After saying that, we were seated. The food was good. Our waitress was good.

My two friends and me had lunch recently. Most of us hadn't been there in quite a while. One had soup and sandwich which she said was very good. My other friend had omelet with potatoes. She also ordered a blueberry muffin which came out warm and she shared. Wow that blueberry muffin was huge and delicious! I had the quiche florentine and potatoes. The quiche was perfectly baked and so tasty! Unfortunately the breakfast potatoes were tiny and overcooked. I would get the house salad instead next time. Our server was so attentive.
