Getting late coming back from St. Augustine and rolled by this restaurant in Ocala. When I saw the name I slammed on the brakes and pulled in. I was not disappointed. A real gem. Super nice staff, lot of food of very decent quality, and a nice salad bar and soft serve to top things off. We will be finding an excuse to drive up this way again to come back for another meal at this fine establishment.

We drove from Minneola, FL, just to try the yummy food & it didn’t disappoint!! The food was delicious, and our server was hilarious and efficient! Loved having the endless salad bar as an option because it’s rare to find restaurants with a salad bar these days! We will definitely be back soon.

We were out going grocery shopping and was hungry, so we went to look for a new place to eat and saw this. We like trying new places and glad we stopped. The wife had ribs, and I had a Texas burger. OMG, we have a new favorite smoke house to go to. This place out paces Sonny's bbq and Fat boys bbq. We love smoked meat, and we have never had anything that had the depth of flavor as we had here. I would advise it as a number one place to eat. Another thing as an afterthought is they have VERY reasonable prices. Under $40 for 2 people, drinks and ice cream included.

Come here for the soup!! The barbecue in my opinion is just okay most days, but the soup...let me tell ya bout the soup. I was craving soup one day and wound up getting it from here. I was immediately impressed. The beef and vegetable soup was full of fresh vegetables and the chunks of beef were seasoned right and perfectly cooked. The broth was balanced without being overly salty. I devoured a quart on my own! I have had the chicken and dumpling soup, chicken gumbo, and Brunswick stew...every one, absolutely delectable. They all taste homemade, which I love. The ingredients in them are fresh- tasting and cooked right. The meat was also well balanced, seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Their soups may not be as great as the ones a mom makes, but they come very close! Honestly, I'll skip the barbecue here and just get the soups, they're that great.
