The Gathering Cafe Downtown Ocala

My family has been going to the Gathering Cafe since it first opened. Everyone is always welcoming and the food and coffee always hit the spot. It’s the perfect gathering place!

The food, atmosphere and friendly service is unmatched. Truly enjoyed our time there and looking forward to coming back!

Great food, coffee, and people!

Good food and coffee. We got the caramel macchiato coffee, brocolli and cheddar quiche, and the cookie butter danish. When you get side of avocado, you get half an avocado.

A lot of it is self service: microwaving pastry, getting silverware, putting up used plates.

You order at the counter. They only have soup during cold months. If you order something that needs to be cooked, they'll bring it to you, even if you go upstairs.

Area across is under construction, but Gathering is open :)

My son regularly visits this place to share a coffee with his grandfather. Today, while he was waiting for him to arrive, an employee called the police on him for no apparent reason. It’s truly disappointing that in this day and age, people are still judged based on appearances. I don’t know if it was because he was wearing gym clothes or simply because he is Hispanic—but either way, it was unacceptable. Let me be clear: my son is a good young man, currently pursuing his master’s degree in chiropractic medicine. A simple “I’m sorry” doesn’t make up for the public embarrassment and distress this caused. This situation needs to be acknowledged and addressed appropriately.

Went for the first time and I will definitely be back. The coffee and food was incredible. The staff was extremely friendly and plenty of seating.

My momma and I were in town overnight because my son was in the hospital. We stopped for breakfast and the reason for our visit came up, the cashier asked while we were waiting for our food how she could prayer for my son. The food was amazing but the way but the service and concern shown was even better. It was a bit pricey but the food... Chef's kiss. I loved the display of their beliefs with Scripture on display. I'd go back again.

Everyone was so kind and the Bible verses they put on the coffee cups were so sweet. The coffee my mom and I had was delicious and my dad had the strawberry banana smoothie. My parents both had the biscuits and gravy and they said it was amazing. The cinnamon roll I had was so soft and the cream cheese icing was light and creamy. We will be coming back!

Great drinks; decent food; and great atmosphere. Will be going back:)

Me & my mother in law found this place the other morning & stopped in for breakfast! We were immediately greeted as we walked in, the place is beautiful inside!! We ordered our breakfast & of course I had to get a coffee & it was absolutely amazing! I ordered the Iced Cinnamon Dolce and it was so good!! Our food was brought to us and it was decent portions and it was amazing as well! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice comfy atmosphere to spend with family/friends.
