Always fun quiet cozy.
I had the most AMAZING experience ever! Alex definitely left an impression and was super attentive. I would definitely recommend this cool speak easy.
I love the small intimate setting. The drink menu is faily priced. The drinks were well prepared. The theme is on point, great looking decorations, the noise level is minimal so you can have a conversation with who you came with. For the most part the seating is arranged to accommodate 2. there was a table for 4 and another section that seemed can also accommodate 4. They are at capacity at about 16-20 people. You will know when you knock and are asked to wait. Its very lovely, even waiting adds to the allure of the speakeasy. You do have to provide a password at the door to be let in. it does change often so make sure you know it!. My only issue was it was a bit hot for my comfort. maybe the AC was broken or what not but it felt like 80 degrees and no air ciculating. If it were cooler, id stay for 2nd or 3rd drink. I will be returning again as I did enjoy it. I dont think they serve food. I didnt ask nor were offered food menu just drinks (which is ok).
Went last week and had a lovely time. Cocktails were delicious, average of $12/cocktail which I felt was a fair price. Decoration was on theme as well. I will definitely come back!
Hands down the best spot for a drink in Ocala. Unlike every other option in town, you can actually hear yourself think and talk inside the Thirsty Cobbler. The drinks are all great (I very highly recommend The Real McCoy) and the service was good too. I do wish they changed the menu every so often - would make it more interesting and enticing to go more. But overall it’s my favorite bar in town.
An amazing speakeasy old time jazzy atmosphere with a super server and bartender. Amazing cocktails and cool vibe.
We had a wonderful time here tonight. It's definitely worth checking out and we will definitely be coming back. The drinks are great!!!
I brought my girlfriend here to enjoy a nice cocktail. I love everything vintage so this was just my style. The atmosphere was amazing! vintage jazz played and it felt like a speakeasy from the 20's, the cocktails were spot on and creative and authentic! the lavender and rosemary were fresh as were the blueberries and we had the best time. It could be romantic or just a special place for friends and the server was wonderful. The bartender was studious and took his cocktails serious! Plus he was very interesting. He was a rock climber and scholar. A truly adventurous person who enjoyed what he does!
I want to start by saying that the Thirsty Cobbler has always been one of our favorite spots to enjoy drinks and immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere. Jason, the bartender, truly sets the standard; his extensive knowledge of cocktails and his skillful mixology never fail to impress us. Each time we visit, he crafts fantastic drinks that elevate our experience.
My next statement does not reflect on Jason.
However, last Friday was an unexpected turn of events. As we arrived at our beloved speakeasy, we were shocked by what unfolded. A new waiter, a younger guy who recently took over for Nikki, approached us. I can't recall his name, but this incident made quite an impression. While we were settling into our seats and savoring our drinks, a group of four knocked gave the password to our astonishment, he bluntly informed them that there was no room available. But then, he added something truly outrageous: if they were willing to offer him tip money, he would find a spot for them. We were in disbelief, unable to grasp what we had just heard especially seeing that there was plenty of room for them. It was clear he was serious, and it felt very uncomfortable.
As someone who has frequented this bar for over three years, I had never experienced such pressure to tip above and beyond what’s customary. It felt like a complete departure from the welcoming and relaxed environment we had always enjoyed. The situation left a sour taste in our mouths, and it made us reconsider our future visits to the Thirsty Cobbler.
Got the real McCoy. Fantastic drink and love the atmosphere. Already can’t wait for my next trip. Be warned the drinks are very strong!

The drinks are amazing here and the atmosphere is normally great but not on Friday night.
Our server Niki seemed drunk and was in all of me and my friend’s faces and screaming our orders to the bartender. It was funny at first until she started to make vulgar jokes to me and my wife. And made comments about my friend’s mother who had recently passed away. She was obnoxious and I think it was not called for.
I really enjoyed this place but that experience just wasn’t the best because of our server and it’s disappointing.
The best place in Ocala 🫶🏽

For others to know, you have to knock on the door loudly before someone will come to it. Also be patient as there is a single waitress, so it may take a moment for her to let you in.

The employees attitude at this place does reflect that the owners want you to spend your money there.
As a business owner I would never tolerate customers being treated in such a way by employees especially in a hospitality role of the team.
The hostess opened the door , with a very rude tone yelled “we’re at capacity” and proceeded to slam the door in our face.
The fact that potential customers wait in line to be treated so poorly at the very entrance of the establishment is ridiculous.
I can only imagine the service inside does not get any better if this is acceptable to upper management.
If you would like to find out for your self I implore you to do so. I hope that service and hospitality improves as a result of this review before you go. I’ve been left with an extremely poor first impression as an excited potential customer and Ocala resident.

As I was waiting for someone to answer the door 2 girls had mentioned the other speakeasy was better so I knew I was not expecting much and that what I experienced . Probably the least favorite speak easy I’ve been to out of about 5 in Florida . A speakeasy should be about mingling , atmosphere , music and some unique cocktails . There is no bar that I know of as there is only assigned seating . Single people go to bars to meet people and socialize . Not an option here that I know of or was offered . The cocktails have great names but the complexity is very basic . My garnish had a small feather which I could have easy swallowed and had an issue . A garnish should be totally edible . I had 1 $16 whisky based cocktail that was not worth the price so I left to explore other options that wouldn’t involve me sitting in a corner alone browsing on my phone looking for better night life .
