Tokyo sushi used to be my go to for hibachi! After tonight, not anymore. About a year ago their food was great and had great flavor! I haven’t been in a while because the prices went up so much but decided to go tonight. The hibachi has NO FLAVOR. The chicken is in water, not the sauce like they used to cook it in. It’s like their prices went up and the portions & food quality went wayyyy down! The food was so bad I can’t even eat anymore. As you see in the photo, not much was gone off of my plate. Also the ladies up at the counter seem like they hate their jobs. No service with a smile there at all!

From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly, creating a welcoming vibe that set the tone for the meal.
The menu is impressively diverse, catering to sushi lovers and those seeking other Japanese dishes. I started with the miso soup, which was perfectly balanced and comforting. For my main course, I ordered the Crazy Dragon roll and a shrimp bento box. The roll was a flavor explosion—fresh fish, creamy avocado, and a delightful mix of textures, beautifully presented. The bento box was equally impressive, with generous portions of succulent shrimp, steamed rice, gyoza, and a crisp house salad. The hibachi options looked tempting, and I overheard other diners raving about them.
What stood out was the attention to detail. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were substantial, and the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality. Our server was attentive, ensuring our drinks were refilled and checking in just enough to make us feel cared for without being intrusive. The restaurant was bustling, yet the staff managed the crowd with ease, a testament to their efficiency.
Tokyo Sushi is a must-visit in Ocala. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just craving a delicious meal, this place delivers. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their creative rolls and hibachi dishes.

My FAVORITE place in town especially after workout. It’s very convenient, tasty, and good service ( thank you Ting ) Also, it’s easy to request in clean way specially when I’m in prep.. 👍🏼🫶🏼 In every time, I eat in this place; it’s always good.

Lunch with my daughter yesterday It was her visit to Tokyo Sushi! She loved it! I got my usual Bento box and she decided on sushi As usual, the food was delicious!

I ordered the Salmon poppers, key word salmon. There was none. They used to serve 6, no 4 which were tiny and over $10. They also used to serve it with a sauce, not any more. Took over ten minutes to get the waitress attention to ask about sauce. She said the only sauce they had was Yumyum sauces. I order The pink lady sushi roll and it was so cold like it came out of the freezer. Even worse it had absolutely no taste. The presentation was horrible Publix sushi does better. I asked if it was made fresh and she would not answer me. We used to eat here weekly after several year but due to a similar experience a years ago we didn’t return til today. Basics on attitude and horrible food won’t return. Then let’s talk about the curtains into the itching that a satined and just nasty. Guess that should have been on of the first clues. Also at lunch only 6 people seat. Used to be packed a few years ago.

Wow - we were hesitant to try, but we love Hibachi and decided to give this place a try. It was very reasonably priced (they don’t cook in front of you) which is OK but the food was really delicious!! Waitress so friendly and nice - even offered to give me a sample of the saki when I couldn’t decide which kind. Dinner portions are huge. We could all barely finish our meals. My husband had sushi and that was amazing too. We went bc it was 10 min from WEC and it was a cute place. Clean and quiet.
