Tokyo sushi used to be my go to for hibachi! After tonight, not anymore. About a year ago their food was great and had great flavor! I haven’t been in a while because the prices went up so much but decided to go tonight. The hibachi has NO FLAVOR. The chicken is in water, not the sauce like they used to cook it in. It’s like their prices went up and the portions & food quality went wayyyy down! The food was so bad I can’t even eat anymore. As you see in the photo, not much was gone off of my plate. Also the ladies up at the counter seem like they hate their jobs. No service with a smile there at all!

The menu is impressively diverse, catering to sushi lovers and those seeking other Japanese dishes. I started with the miso soup, which was perfectly balanced and comforting. For my main course, I ordered the Crazy Dragon roll and a shrimp bento box. The roll was a flavor explosion—fresh fish, creamy avocado, and a delightful mix of textures, beautifully presented. The bento box was equally impressive, with generous portions of succulent shrimp, steamed rice, gyoza, and a crisp house salad. The hibachi options looked tempting, and I overheard other diners raving about them.
What stood out was the attention to detail. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were substantial, and the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality. Our server was attentive, ensuring our drinks were refilled and checking in just enough to make us feel cared for without being intrusive. The restaurant was bustling, yet the staff managed the crowd with ease, a testament to their efficiency.
Tokyo Sushi is a must-visit in Ocala. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just craving a delicious meal, this place delivers. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their creative rolls and hibachi dishes.

My FAVORITE place in town especially after workout. It’s very convenient, tasty, and good service ( thank you Ting ) Also, it’s easy to request in clean way specially when I’m in prep.. 👍🏼🫶🏼 In every time, I eat in this place; it’s always good.
