We went to Yamato with two friends on January 30 2026 to celebrate my Birthday. This has become an annual tradition for our small group. We travel to Ocala from Pennsylvania and stay here till May 1st. During our visit to Ocala we make it a point to dine at Yamato at least twice during our stay.

Unfortunately the staff was very short on Fathers day and we had decided to go out for sushi, His choice. We were going to go to another hibachi nearby that we always go to but decided to give it a try. We sat right away because we were ok with sitting away from the hibachi grill. It had to have been like 80 degrees. Waiter was friendly but didn’t know drinks or drop off common additions to items ordered. Ie: plates for sushi and ramekins for soy sauce.he dropped the soup and...read full review
