Yamato Japanese Steak House

We had a great chef but the service from the waiter just sucked . We went for my daughters 14th birthday and when the waiter came to sing happy birthday he looked down and wasn't even loud and then he rushed off . Then we were eating and the guy already brought out to go boxes . But the food was great and chef was amazing .. the other waiters that we're doing the birthdays on other tables brought cake or cookie out with candles and let them hit the gong but no the waiter did a quite happy birthday and didn't even bring her a cookie or cake just rushed off .. if you were having a bad day then don't show it at work because we pay a lot of money our bill was 182 dollars and for service that sucked . The chef is who made my daughters birthday worth wild coming there he interacted with all of us talked to the kids etc . You need more people like him or you will loose business .The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted anything else .the same guy at the other table next to us brought them boxes while they were eating as well .

The worst run restaurant I have ever been to. The service was non existent, out of every drink we ordered. Total chaos and we waited 45 minutes for first drink. I never got my salad or soup. They brought me a different drink than ordered and tried to tell me it was what I ordered. I thought we were going out to eat not to a circus. It is simply the worst dining experience I have ever had

I was there for a friend’s birthday celebration. I ordered the steak and it was fun watching the tricks but they cooked the steak and chicken right next to the seafood. The chef picked up the shrimp and scallops and served it, then with the same spatula picked up my steak and put it on my plate. Well guess what…I just paid for a steak dinner for my dog. I couldn’t eat it. I didn’t want to make an issue of it at the table in front of her other guests. They should never serve seafood before steak or chicken. As I walked out I told the hostess about it. All that was said is I’ll tell the manager. Did they???? I don’t know so that was a waste of money!!!!! They should have said please wait here and I’ll go get the manager for you. Never going back there again!!

The food was great, no complaints there. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the steak I ordered, and instead of fixing the issue, the staff insisted I was wrong and wanted to argue about it. If the $4 difference meant more to them than making things right, they won’t need to worry about me coming back.

I remember the noodles being more flavorful, not so bland, and the steak was just ok. The shrimp was amazing. It used to be so good I'll have to try the other steak house in Ocala and see if they are better

This one is a bit difficult to give a 5 star . My family and I visit a couple times a year . The food is always great . The hibachi chefs are always entertaining. My nephew is autistic and adhd, this dinner kept his attention peeked throughout night 😊. However , the conditions of the bathrooms make us almost not want to return . They are utterly disgusting every time we go. I truly hope they can get on top of this.

Great experience. The food was great, the chef show, absolutely amazing. I went with my kids, and they love it. Sushi is delightful. I highly recommend this place.

Went out to try their sushi and ended up ordering the hibachi dinner without the show. The sushi had way too much rice. The protein was seasoned well and tender However, the Yum Yum sauce was watered down
