Best Pad Thai! Great range of heat, even going as hot has Thai Hot.

The initial chicken and rice soup (free) had a broth so delicious I want to baptized in it. Clear with strong flavor, bits of crispy garlic and scallion. The satay was satay, but the chunky peanut sauce was excellent. Wife got the pad thai which was saucy and flavorful and al around better than the restaurants in Orlando, Winter Springs and Lake Mary (you know who you are). I got the garlic and black pepper frog legs and I loved them. Super juicy and tender, fantastic flavor. Next time it's the crispy duck. It was worth the 40 minute drive from Sanford.

We love Soong Thai as a family. Anything we've ordered has been delicious! The employees are kind and warm, remembering their regulars. When we go for lunchbreak it is incredibly quick service. Hands down best Tofu Pad Thai I've ever had, even better reheated!

I have been goi g here for about 20 years and the food is not the same anymore I stopped going for a while and decided to go again. Ordered Pad Thai and Pad Sew with extra sauce and got less sauce... lacked color and taste and their prices went up. The other 2 entress ordered was good.. fried rice and shrimp with basil.

Price and portion sizes are decent. Food was tasty!
Great neighborhood Thai restaurant.
Best thai place left in the area.
Nice quiet, small place. Decorated beautifully, and the food is always consistently great. It's close to the house and we love to just go and eat in because the atmosphere is so calm and nice.
The authentic ambiance and delectable cuisine of this Thai restaurant are truly exceptional. The flavors are particularly pronounced in medium-hot or hotter Thai dishes, and the prices are reasonably affordable. Having grown up eating at this establishment, I continue to hold it in high regard.
Small portions, burnt oil and they need to work more on their sauce the one comes with dumplings! Service was great! The lady was taking care of us was very nice!

Our favorite Tai food place in the area. The duck pang is amazing and our go to. The yum salad compliment s the meal and keeps you busy while you wait for your duck.
Very tasty food
My first time trying the food from Soong Thai and it was amazing! They made a vegan version of drunken noodles with fried tofu, no egg, and no fish sauce. And their Thai hot level is hot enough for even my eyes to water. That’s hard to do since I love hot food and eat it every day. This is not an Asian fusion place. This is pure simple authentic Thai goodness. Amazing!
I went to Soong Thai with a friend after going to a late afternoon movie. The restaurant is a small family run business located in a small shopping center strip.
Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. Although they serve beer and wine, the selection is limited, but the food menu offerings was plentiful.
We both started with Crab Meat Soup. Plus side--the soup had an extremely tasty broth, a nice amount of vegetables, and served quite hot. Negative side--hardly any crab to speak of. The lack of crab was a genuine disappointment to both my friend and I.
For the main course we shared two dishes.
Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. Pro--tasty dish seasoned nicely without being over bearing. A nice, but not overly generous portion. Con--The dish had a fair amount of thin chicken medallions, but two medium sized shrimp. Two shrimp? That left a bad taste in my mouth. And the dish seemed a little too starchy to both of us.
Side Bar--Shrimp dishes are usually the most overpriced dish you can get in a restaurant. Shrimp are actually cheap (about 30 cents a shrimp in our area RETAIL at Winn Dixie), plus they are the fastest and simplest food to prepare...two minutes to cook then throw them in any sauce you are serving for a minute. So two shrimp in a $15 dish, seems a little skimpy to me.
Amazing Land--no complaints on this dish at all. Sauteed chicken, pork and beef served with broccoli in a thick peanut sauce and rice on the side. Pro--everything about this dish was perfect...balance of meet, perfect cook of broccoli, ratio of food to sauce, rice perfectly cooked. Con--nothing.
I also had a beer. It was cold and crisp. And my friend enjoyed a glass of plum wine.
Summary--although there were downsides to our meal, we both would go to Soong Thai again. We would skip shrimp dishes, try a different soup, and concentrate on chicken, pork or vegetable dishes.
I love this place. I’m a sucker for the pad Thai. They do get busy so be ready for a wait. Worth it though
