Spoke with a person we met in the park across the street from Gladys restaurant who suggested a nearby cafe as she assumed that Gladys was out of business as there is a for sale sign in the window. We chose to try Gladys and were very pleasantly surprised we had the fish and shrimp special and would recommend it.Took some pictures to post but notice that there are already better pictures posted I would note that the lunch special is now 699 not as shows on some of the pictures
I had heard of this place so I flew into Orlando and drove to this Okeechobee restaurant, Small place with a great breakfast. I ordered Steak and Eggs with toast and home fries. Delicious! Nice little road trip is worth it. CLEAN, GREAT SERVICE and a place where all the locals meet. Sorry I didn't take any photos. The landscape across street is beautiful Cowboy Cattle Drive.

This is a really good place to have lunch! We just ate there today! Soup was really good and meatloaf sandwich too. The BLT was thick sliced bacon and loaded! And the key lime pie was great! Service was really good and friendly and food came fast! Thank you! Good prices too! Sweet potato fries really good!Parking: Right in front of cafe!
