The trout dip is wonderful. We also got a fillet and a ny strip and both were outstanding!

The steaks were absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the Cobb salad fell below expectations and didn’t match the quality of the entrées. Our server was friendly and did a great job, but it was clear they had too many tables. As a result, some items took much longer than they should have. For example, our wine didn’t arrive until we were nearly finished with our meal. Despite the delays, the staff overall was very warm and welcoming. With a bit more attention to pacing and support for the servers, this could easily be an outstanding dining experience.

I’m giving 1 star on food but it’s not because of taste but for the fact is they eliminated the best item from the menu which was the beer battered scallops. Big Fire you need to bring it back!! The new replacement scallops with Popcorn is terrible. Whoever made the decision should be demoted. This is coming from someone who has been coming to the restaurant since it first opened.

Overall our visit to Bigfire wasn’t bad. The atmosphere and the food were good. The only real issue was our service, we were a table of four so not a huge party, but it just seemed we weren’t a priority for our server. We had to wait a long time for our drinks (just soft drinks) and refills only happened when our cups sat empty. Still a good visit and will
probably return because the food was very delicious.

This restaurant is a real surprise of lavishness. It is much more upscale inside than the exterior or even the website might suggest. This is a high-end steak house and grill with a detailed whiskey bar. The use of flannel in uniforms and the smell of wood fire from the kitchen are a cozy touch, as is the offer of tableside s'mores. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful, and the kitchen can accommodate many dietary requirements. The cocktails are remarkably well balanced, using quality spirits and mix. Highly recommend for adult dining.

Recommended by a friend, I made a reservation at Bigfire during a recent trip to Universal for a conference. Unfortunately, this ended up being a one-and-done experience for me. Like many of the restaurants at CityWalk, it just didn’t deliver.

We started with the fondue appetizer, which was good overall, but still a little lacking in flavor. Decent, but nothing memorable.

I also ordered the corn bisque to start, and that was a definite miss. The popcorn on top was odd and completely unnecessary, and the soup itself was bland—almost reminiscent of baby food. Terribly under-seasoned.

For my main course, I chose the bone-in short rib. The portion was shockingly small for the price—about the size of a deck of cards. The meat was tender and could have been flavorful, but the cold, tasteless BBQ sauce on top completely ruined it. It was served with an ear of corn that was shriveled, overcooked, and cold, along with a piece of jalapeño cornbread so hard you couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife.

Overall, Bigfire was a big miss for me—and unfortunately, so was my friend’s recommendation.

My husband and I recently came to this restaurant last week for my 30th birthday and our honeymoon after having a terrible experience at Toothsome Chocolate Factory. We did not have a reservation but that was no problem as they got us in and seated within 5-10 minutes. Within two minutes of being seated at our table we were greeted by our server Rachel. She was so kind, bubbly and welcoming. She asked us how we were and we told her about our rough time at Toothsome and that we were celebrating my birthday and our honeymoon and she was genuinely so sorry. She did everything in her power to turn our night around. This place is absolutely amazing. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere relaxing, and the service unforgettable. I highly recommend going to Big Fire if you get the chance.

I had Thanksgiving dinner here and overall it was a really good experience. The food was great, the atmosphere was warm, and the staff handled the holiday rush well.

One thing I do want to mention: when I ordered dessert, I mentioned that I don’t drink alcohol because I’ve been sober for over six years. It was extremely loud that day, so it’s very possible the server didn’t fully hear me. The dessert still had alcohol in it, and even if it was cooked down, the remaining taste was strong enough to throw me off a bit.

I’m not blaming the server at all it was packed and difficult to hear anything , but I do think the restaurant could be clearer about which desserts contain alcohol so guests with restrictions can avoid surprises.

Otherwise, it was a solid experience and I would come back.

Came in for a birthday dinner. Let them know it was a birthday, wore a birthday pin even. The server went out of his way to not acknowledge it and barely came back to the table. We couldn't even get cocktail refills. I left a decent tip but it honestly wasn't deserved. I would never eat here again.
We went to Boathouse in Disney Springs the night before and had an amazing time. Try that instead

The restaurant is really beautiful, both outside and inside, and the service is amazing. We ordered the Thanksgiving special and the pork ribs, but both dishes came out cold. Considering the prices and the level of the restaurant, we think the food should match that, the dishes would have been incredible if they’d been served at the right temperature.

Went to Big Fire recently for my birthday, had Josh for our server! Couldn't have been a better experience, he was awesome! We had the fondue appetizer, it did not disappoint, and I had an amazing seafood bake that included shrimp, scallops and mussels. All our meals were wonderful. I got the baked Alaska for dessert and it was fabulous!!! 2nd time going there and will continue to go whenever I'm at Universal. Don't forget to ask for Josh!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’ve always loved the experience at Big Fire, and it’s become a family tradition for us every time we visit Orlando. The kids absolutely love the campfire s’mores, the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else, and the service has consistently been great. On this visit, our server Jesus was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and truly made the experience even better.

I was a little surprised to see the overall rating sitting around 4.1. After reading a recent 2-star review, it seems the complaint centered on cost and steak quality compared to big-name steak chains. That really isn’t a fair comparison. Big Fire isn’t trying to be a low-price, mass-market steakhouse—it’s a unique, wood-fired experience focused on flavor, atmosphere, and presentation.

The wood-fire cooking adds a distinct depth of flavor you won’t get at typical chain restaurants, and the food has always been delicious in our experience. If you come here expecting the portions and pricing of a standard steak chain, you’re missing the point. This place is about the experience—and it delivers.

We’ll continue coming back year after year.

Had dinner last week 11/2025. Scallops, Brook Trout, and Sourdough Bread, 3 medium small Scallops with literal popcorn stirred into the risotto. Trout with more bones than I've ever seen at a restaurant. Bread and service was the only thing I could recommend. Just plain poor at any price, much less that they charge.
Edit: For comparison. Big Fire: 3 Scallops $48. Atlantic Restaurant inside of Epic: 4 Scallops $40. The day you lose in value to a restaurant actually inside a theme park is the day you should be ashamed.
