For 20 years Blondies Dagwood has been one of our park fav's. Now you cannot order without the mobile app. There has always been a line out the door because the food here is pretty good. Today when we came there was nobody eating and no one in there at all. One employee behind the counter doing nothing. She told us we had to have the mobile app to order. Since we didn't have our phones we couldn't do so. I said can I just tell you what I want? Nope. Cannot order without the app. A message to whatever management team made that decision... that is terrible customer service. If you're wondering why sales at that location have declined that is the reason.
This is really a 4.5 in my opinion. We had the Dagwood sandwich combo. The sandwich was great, it had a ton of meat on it and was very fresh. For the price (roughly $17 with tax), it was a great light lunch for us, we just split it and it was plenty to knock the hungry off with the bag of chips. We were planning a larger dinner and didn't want to be weighed down in the heat and while riding rollercoasters. The only reason I did not give it a five star review is due to the inability to order in person at the store, they were only accepting mobile orders. It did not affect our experience, but I feel like the option should have been there for those without smartphones or tech experience.

I wanted to order something small and was told to download an app. I decided not to order, while I sat there I watched at least 10 families walk in and being turned away by the app requirement.
Totally disappointed.

If you are going to have ordering by the mobile app, provide a qr code! Ordering a hotdog for a child should be a simple procedure, pay cash, get food, very simple! But no, I had to find the restaurant on the universal app then order the food, pay for the food and oh yes for the 4th time my saved password doesn't work, so I need to use the password reset, before i can order said hot dog! Not to mention a hot dog and some French fries shouldn't cost $17!
Extremely frustrating! Won't be back!

Do not eat here unless you like very bland food and hard sandwiches. Also the service is terrible and only let you do mobile order only which is fine but why pay for someone to stand at the door to tell you that you have to use mobile order? But he just stands there while you use the mobile order??. Do better

Wow, what a total disaster AVOID
Not what you expect from Islands Of Adventure
To say it's was slow service is an understatement
Staff not intrested in being there, moaning to each other about being there.
Sandwich was thrown together, meat not even spaced out, just unrolled and slapped on
Didn't even give us the chips as per order, I had to ask for them and got a crappy responce
Avoid

It's been 40 minutes and there giving food to people who ordered after us
Absolutely awful service. One person working behind the counter making food at snails pace. Actually a snail would move quicker. In the almost hour we were waiting on our food that took 30 extra minutes longer than it should have they made maybe 3 orders. They also kept forgetting things in peoples orders. It was chaos. Hot and hungry with 3 small children in a crowded small area is not good for anyone. The food was ok but definitely not worth what it took to get it. Will not be back.

I was hoping to get a piece of what made Dagwood's a famous sandwich, and I got disappointed. If you order the dagwood, it is pre-made and it is one thin slice of a larger sandwich. But if you order a regular lunchmeat sandwich, that sandwich actually costs less and is larger, so it is really only for namesake that you get the dagwood. Unfortunately the sandwich doesn't taste great, costs over $10, and comes with no sides. I would eat somewhere else.

Sandwiches very good, Ricky was kind and helpful as well.
Meat was a bit too salty. Not a very big selection. Price wasn't too bad.
What a miserable experience. Universal certainly isn't Disney. Let me tell you why.We ordered through the mobile app for a 12:00-12:15 window. We arrived and checked in at 22:06.We had to wipe down the filthy table ourselves, not an auspicious beginning. At 12:23 the order status was "being prepared ". I checked at the counter and was told there printer had been down". No "sorry for the wait".Finally at 12:28 it was ready, but of course we weren't done with problems yet. The order was missing brookie and a bag of potato chips. Two trips back to get those. And finally we realized the downgraded the chips from "sea salt" to plain old Lays chips.Management needs to step up to fix problems here.

Had the Dagwoods and Turkey sandwiches. Delish! But the potato salad and the cole slaw are disgusting! No flavor, no seasoning, and no flavor. Potatoes are hard and not cooked enough. Wasted our money on the platters and should’ve just ordered the combos. They need to fix their recipes or discontinue those sides!
