Excellent small sushi joint. The little sushi bar you see when you walk in is the entire kitchen. Service might be a little bit slower, but it’s not for a lack of love or care- the food is delicious and the lady taking care of us was so sweet.

This is the best Sushi place by far! (update since I posted this 6 yrs ago) 2024, still the best Sushi place, everything is made fresh right in front of you. The seaweed salad has become overpriced. The amount shrunk 1/3 down but the price almost doubled to $8! So I'm not happy with that.Everything else is wonderful!

Bonsai Sushi is a pleasant surprise- a “hole in the wall “ ,humbly located, yet probably one of the best Sushi places we’ve been to. The sushi portions are generous and so fresh. The cooked items on the menu are as you would imagine, if not better. And the service is friendly and welcoming. Bonsai Sushi is the kind of local place you want to frequent, feel comfortable and confident you will get great food and service.

I was looking forward to coming here due to high reviews. I will say the food is overpriced but I assume it could be due to location. The salad dressing wasn’t good so we stopped eating it. Took a bite of the edamame - tasting and texture was way off. Miso soup had too much hot water so it was watered down - my bowl looked untouched. The sashimi wasn’t fresh and the Tuna looked brown. It wasn’t authentic coming from my experience, I felt disappointed. I will say the service & staff were great.

An amazing take on sushi fusion. The fish was fresh and clean and the chefs are hilarious! It makes you feel like you're just hanging out with friends and getting good sushi quick and fast. So happy to have quick food with good service at hand!

We really enjoyed Bonsai and highly recommend it. I have eaten at some others in Lake Mary, Dr. Phillips and downtown. Our server was kind and attentive. The sushi chef acknowledges you when you enter. This is our new to go place for date nights. My favorite roll is the Fatty Matty . Rolex is my 2nd choice and anniversary was 3rd. For 2 people who share, 2 rolls is enough
