If I could leave 0 stars I would but I actually like the 90% of the people that work here. I have no-idea how Bailey porter got hired here with her bad attitude while on and off the clock. Clocks out starts drinking. Drinks then clocks in to work. No judgement but if you’re going to be rude to your regulars, that’s so upsetting for the only local bar that’s still standing and hasn’t been shot down. Bad management of you can hire a person that’s so unprofessional.

Food is great, service is great, but if you think you’re going to get on the pool table…think again. I asked the guys playing if I was next, they said I was and showed me where to get quarters. I placed my quarters on the table and waited…just to be hustled by the local pool sharks! I came out specifically to play pool with friends and had to go elsewhere to avoid confrontation?
Parking: Parked by the lake and walked, pretty far just to have to find somewhere else to go

Went to a concert close by, and walked to this spot afterward and it was a perfect nightcap for us. We shared a table with some kind strangers. Earlier in the day, I got some food here that was much better than I expected. My friends ate there at night and were all happy.
I walked to my hotel after last call. No problems at all.
One rainy evening, I found myself at Burtons Pub, a cozy spot known for its friendly staff and relaxed vibe. The place was buzzing with the usual crowd, each person immersed in their drinks and conversations. As I took my usual seat at the bar, I couldn't help but notice an unusual challenge the pub was running that night: a beer bottle balancing contest. The objective was simple but seemingly impossible—balance a beer bottle on your head for as long as possible.
Never one to shy away from a good laugh, I decided to give it a try. With a mischievous grin, I took a seat on the small stage set up for the contest. The bartender handed me a bottle of the pub's signature brew, and with a deep breath, I carefully placed it on my head. To my surprise, the bottle stayed perfectly balanced.
As I sat there, trying to keep still, the crowd's attention shifted towards me. Time seemed to slow down as everyone watched, waiting for the inevitable slip. But somehow, against all odds, I maintained my composure, even managing to crack a few jokes that had everyone laughing. The minutes ticked by, and I continued to balance the bottle with an unexpected grace.
Then, something magical happened. A couple of local journalists who had wandered in for a drink noticed my feat. Amused and impressed, they pulled out their phones and started recording. One of them even started a live stream, and soon, people from all over the city were tuning in to watch "the guy balancing a beer bottle on his head."
When the bottle finally tipped over—after an impressive 15 minutes—the pub erupted in applause. I took a bow, laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. The journalists approached me, eager to write a quirky story about the unexpected event. The next day, the headlines read: "Local Man Finds Fame Balancing Beer Bottle at Burtons Pub," and a viral video of my balancing act spread across social media.
Suddenly, I was famous for something utterly silly and unexpected. People started recognizing me on the street, chuckling and asking for tips on balancing bottles. I even got invited to a few local talk shows and events, all because of that one night at Burtons Pub.
To this day, whenever I walk into Burtons, the staff jokingly refer to me as "the Bottle Balancer." And I can't help but smile, knowing that my fifteen minutes of fame came from something as simple—and as silly—as balancing a beer bottle on my head.
Pretty grungy. Let's just say I was not going to use the restroom. To be fair, It was about 11pm on a Saturday. But damn that food was good!!! Lol. The vending machine was hilarious!!!

Burton’s is such a fun vibe and the service is even better! We ordered our first drink directly from the bar but then we went to sit at a table. After that, we didn’t even have to move a muscle. The table service was impeccable! S/o to Bailey, Rod & Ashley!!

Hanging out with my celebrity friends at Burtons he let me do the Pocahontas tie on his beard, very inclusive.. paparazzi was swarming flashes were flashing. Pictures were taken, we made noise. Everyone wanted to be us. 101 years of hospitality experience? Someone had to say it!!!

With over 100 years of hospitality experience i can confidently say this is a well run and well respected establishment. Always a good time to stop in and be included in a game of darts with my celebrity friends. Someone had to say it!!!

As a celebrity I always feel very comfortable here. In 22 years of working in the hospitality industry I have never witnessed such a kind and attentive staff. I would never walk past this bar! Always stop in a play a game of pool. Someone had to say it!!!
