I’m not sure what’s going on with this place is not what it “used to be “ I use to love getting breakfast here as I’m from Avalon .
They won’t make the coffee the same they promote it very nice
When you order it is not as promoted . I use to love the tiramisu latte now they don’t even put the cookie and is not good at all it’s just a waste of money if you ask me. This place is going down hill . Sundays it would be packed now is empty for a very good reason .

We ordered for pick up for the first time and it will be our last!!

First, we called the store to order by phone and were told we could only order online. I get most people have access to do that but not always. Then, we ordered a ham, egg and cheese sandwich only to receive an egg and cheese only sandwich. I called the store to let them know and the lady was nice to offer a new sandwich or a refund. I chose the refund. Shortly after I received a text message with a picture showing I’d ordered the sandwich with no ham. Of course, I looked at the picture in disbelief that I would check no ham when we were ordering a ham, egg and cheese sandwich! Also, we had the option to order an egg and cheese sandwich for less money!! When i called the store back to explain I wouldn’t order that way, she argued that’s how/what I ordered, wished me “happy holidays” and hung up!

It’s a shame, because they’re in a small community where customer service should be a priority. They’re not the only game in town and they won’t be a vendor I’ll sponsor ever again. It’s not what you say but how you say it. Perhaps you need to review how to order your items online.

This place is small but cute hut the cashier girl Fabiana is LAZY . I tried calling to place an order since I live in the flats ( right upstairs ) and the cashier told me to hang up and place my order online. Honestly If you want better coffee and food go down the street to THE BAKERY COLOMBIAN COFFEE. Prices are a little more but they’re at wayyy B ETTER OPTIONS AND ATMOSPHERE IS BETTER and the cashiers aren’t lazy.

I was only ordering a coffee Cafe Coqui and Fabiana was telling me to hang up and order online. I figured it’s just coffee so I can order from cafe coqui but I just got reminded why it’s better to pay for quality and service . They treat you good , greet you immediately . Trust me you won’t regret it . I’ll post a picture of THE GOOD PLACE THAT YOU SHOULD TRY BELOW..
the picture is where you should go don’t waste your time going to Cafe coqui .

Do yourself a favor you Won’t regret it , go down the street and look for a beautiful PINK sign called THE BAKERY COLOMBIAN CAFE . Better quality and way better service .
Go to where I posted the pic below . Better service 100 % and it’s literally on the same street opposite side .

Was not the best. Good to try once but won’t be back. Coffee presentation was nice however it tasted mostly like milk. We ordered the garlic potatoes and they came out cold. We left unsatisfied and went to the Colombia place down the road

A cute coffee shop in Avalon Park. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the Coquí Latte and a donut. There is lots of free street parking in the area.

Finally, Imade it to Cafe Coqui, and it did not disappoint! This cute café is in Downtown Avalon Park across from the new Marketplace. But it's sooo much better, in my opinion. It's cozy, quiet, clean aesthetic, pleasant, and cute.
here is plenty of seating both inside and outside. Inside, there is also a small bar top where you can enjoy your treats & beverages while looking outside.
The service was great I did not see mallorcas (Puerto Rican sweet buns dusted with powdered sugar), I asked, was told they were proofing & needed 2 more hours. I told her I'd be back. When I returned, she remembered me & my request.
I ordered two mallorcas both with powdered sugar. Idid want the guava and cheese but 1 will ave that for another visit.
I sat and enjoyed my delicious mallorca while I read my book. Delighted!
