On our recent stay at Rosen Shingle Creek, we indulged in their fantastic breakfast buffet at Cafe Osceola. The selection was vast, and included an action station for omelettes, eggs benedicts, waffles and the like. They also had a large selection of meats, pastries, fruits, cereals, and parfaits. Service was also top notch here as well. Our waiter Luigi ensured our coffee and juices remained full, while offering a friendly smile and polite conversation. The action station chef was a sight to behold as he expertly balanced crafting multiple orders simultaneously, all while maintaining friendly conversations with guests. The price was $38 per adult, however be aware that an 18% service charge is added in addition to gratuity.

Personally, I would like some of their original offerings back on the breakfast buffet that they used to have: 1. Potato Tots/Cakes 2. Cheese Slices they used to have Swiss, Cheddar, and American 3. Sliced Ham, Salami

Excellent service. Multiple alternatives for breakfast. My advice arrives early because it gets really crowded.

Went there for breakfast. They are able to accommodate 17 of us, which is hard to find for reservations in Orlando area. The buffet was very good. Fresh food vegetables which they grow on the property and fruit. The hotel is beautiful as well. We went before our cruise as a meeting spot. The hotel was decorated beautiful for the holiday. They had different tree's decorated by the community which I thought was fun. Back to the buffets food. The honey was still on the honeycomb which I thought was really neat. I am also gluten-free and they had some choices for me which is really nice I had Eggs Benedict on hash browns and it was lovely. I also had chia seeds with yogurt and the seeds were perfect. The gentleman I think he was the manager walked me through and let me know what I could eat which was really nice and professional I would definitely come back here when family is in town againDietary restrictions: I am gluten-free and had options for meKid-friendliness: We had 5 kids out of 17 people and they were Accommodating

Had Christmas buffet dinner there. It was excellent, they had so many delicious dishes to choose from. Mimosas and champagne were part of the experience.

Could not order from the menu, forced to get buffet as they were busy. Waited 35 minutes for the reservation for one then given a table for 6 and waited 10 minutes for coffee then another 10 for water. My waiter was good but the grumbling and swearing from other staff was unacceptable. Was charged 20% tip before I got the bill. Very disappointing.

I have been going to the Thanksgiving Buffet for years with my family. This year was the most disappointing. I was surprised to see initially that their rates have risen from 69.00 per person to 89.00 but I am a long time customer and it has been our holiday tradition for thanksgiving dinner for sometime now and even some Christmas dinners.I was not paying attention when they billed me and realized when I got home that they overcharge me for my two kids who are under 10 years old, $39.95 each, in what looked liked they charge me for them as adults. After speaking with the manager I was shocked to find out what really happened. They snuck it in and charged us a "Mandatory 26% Service charge" in which no one ever told me about prior, nor was it listed on the website when I made a reservation, no was it listed even on the bill. They charge before you eat and did not bring us an itemized bill as well just the final charge receipt. They really got me good and tricked me. 26% is outrageous especially on a dinner bill of $400. Lesson learned from their dishonest and shady business practice. The food wasn't even that good anymore as it has been going downhill for a few years. They just lost a long time customer over a 26% hidden fee.

My children and I attended the buffet last year and truly enjoyed the experience. It was less enjoyable this year. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy, and the quality of the food was not as good this year. (The fish and chicken were dry and flavorless, the sourdough stuffing bland.) More disappointing is that the Florida resident discount is no longer being offered. I may look for a different Christmas buffet to attend next year.

Rosen Shingle Creek never disappoints for their holiday buffet. There are so many different varieties of food to select from. The service is excellent and the wait staff is friendly and hospitable. The decor definitely puts you in the holiday spirit.

Overpriced! They removed the 25% Florida resident discount. Removed pasta station along with a very poor and limited dessert station. We've been going there for decades for holidays and special occasions. This was our last visit! I hope Rosen pays attention here.

I was a bit disappointed with this year's Christmas Brunch Buffet. To start, the people at the omelet station weren't very welcoming. They seemed shocked that at 3:00, people still wanted omelets. Additionally, I felt the breakfast items weren't being refreshed. Everything looked dried out and old. Why advertise those items if they aren't being regularly refreshed throughout the buffet? Additionally, there was sort of a deconstructed charcuterie board near the back left of the restaurant. It had to be the least visited section. What a waste of cheese, meats, chutneys, and what appeared to be duck liver pâté. Most guests didn't seem interested or were confused about most items, as I overheard an amusing discussion about how to eat Brie cheese! It seemed this was Rosen's attempt to reduce costs, as I can recall a lovely seafood station in the same area in previous years. Additionally, while I was happy to see freshly-shucked oysters and cocktail shrimp, I was unhappy with its placement at the buffet, as it needed to be attended because most people were being unsanitary around those delicate and bacteria-prone foods. Speaking of bacteria, the chocolate fountain at the dessert station was absolutely disgusting. I watched people ignore the elongated toothpicks and use their fingers to hold food in the chocolate, which guaranteed their fingers to get covered in chocolate which inevitable dropped into the fountain. Just gross! The rest of the desserts were so disappointing, absolutely unworthy of the price of the buffet. We will definitely pay a bit more next year and dine at Gaylord Palms, where we usually purchase tickets to the Christmas evening performance.

We have used this venue for our Christmas dinner for several years now. The quality of the food is top draw and has every taste catered for. If you book this venue for your festive celebration you will not be disappointed.
