The new menu for brunch have just a few options and they don't have a lunch menu as a option. We like the restaurant but the new menu for brunch wasn't good as the old one.

Menu changed...they need to bring that chef back, food was tasteless I paid so much money for a hospital food...BLUF: I won't be back to this restaurant, I wasted money there.

What can I say other than the worst place I have spent my money and time. Went to orlando from lakeland to pick up my son at the airport, and the wife picked this place as I pulled up I tried to get her to change her mind because right away I got a bad feeling about this place. They sat us in a corner, the worst place you can be, and it seemed like 5 minutes before they came with water. Another 5 for our tea 5 bucks a glass, and it tasted somewhat off like it was old. 10, maybe 15 minutes later, he took our order another 20 minutes, and they brought my wife's order and a wrong order to me. Siad he made a mistake punching it in the computer. As I sat there for 20 minutes waiting on my food, watching my wife eat as her uncomfortable looks looking for them.to Bing my food. After my wife was done eating 5 minutes later, they brought my food to me. It was burnt dry, and the marinara was awful. Couldn't eat it it at all, so as we waited, I eventually had to get up and walk up front to ask for a Togo box and my ck so we could get the hell out of there. Eventually, the server came and said he was sorry, and the next time we came, I. He would give us a discount already, knowing why we stopped there, knowing we would never go back. Didn't even offer us a discount or anything. I should have contacted my credit card company and had them take back the money that would have saved my 90 bucks for two small crab cakes, side salad, two ice tras, and what the called chicken parm. The chicken was so thin you could read through it, and again, the marinara was God awful nasty. Lots of people in there drinking and the people that had 4 or more to their grops got all the attention working for that bigger tip as they let the two people wait with no real attention to even tbe order. I would never in. Million years old, spend my money or time at this place ever again. If you drink, the bar looks nice, but if you go there to eat and your group is less than 4 people run. Run fast with your money. There is a Windy and a wawa not too far away, and you will get better food and help from them than this so-called restaurant

We were long-time residents of Lake Nona until two years ago when jobs took us to the Pacific Northwest. We recently visited Canvas as it was one of our favorite local restaurants when we lived here. Our experience was disappointing to say the least. While menu evolution is expected in restaurants, we were disappointed to find that the menu has changed so drastically that only yucca fries remain from the original. Nothing against yucca fries, but that hardly seems like a unique differentiator on a menu. Our party had chicken parm, rigatoni pasta, signature Mac and cheese and fried cod. Food lacked basic seasoning. Only the fried cod was worth mentioning. Other dishes were bland and unimpressive. Service was so slow we had nearly finished our entrees before wine was presented. Combined with numerous mistakes with our order and extremely warm restaurant temperature this culminated in a sincerely disappointing experience. Waitstaff we're energetic and apologetic, but they lacked a team approach. It seems as though they are missing key service standards.

Awesome meal here, and Ryan was a fantastic waiter. Prices are reasonable, food was really good. Especially recommend the mussels and the It's Always Sunny in Lake Nona cocktail. One piece of feedback: our table was about 20 feet from the open kitchen, and was a bit too warm for comfort.

Beautiful restaurant! The food and drinks were more expensive than they should have been. The chicken sandwich was dry with thick slices of bread and not much chicken. The service was also slow. We had a gift card which didn't cover the meal plus the tip, so we gave our card as well. We ended up paying more than we should have. Not the best experience but sitting by the water was nice!

We were a party of 2 with a reservation. A party of 4 arrived after us without a reservation. They were given a nice table inside before us. We were banished to the patio next to a graduation party. The food was mediocre at best. The salmon was floating in the same cheap tomato sauce that is used for the chicken parm. The mac and cheese was watery. The chicken tenders were actually one of the chicken cutlets from the chicken parm, sliced into strips. I have had better food at an interstate truck stop.

We went yesterday and Malik served us with excellent. Also, the food was amazing, not to mention the great ambiance

Our experience upon arrival of 5 mins early for our 7 pm reservation was horrible. Although we had a reservation they continued to follow the walk in schedule and seated people based on that rather than the reservation. Several people walked in after us and were seated. At 7:20 we had to ask how much longer it would be and only then were we seated??? Like they didn't know we were waiting. Then as we were being seated we were walked right past an open table overlooking the lake directly. I asked if we could sit there and was told no, that table was already reserved. I reaffirmed that we indeed had a reservation as well and was unaware we could reserve a table and she told me again we could not sit there. It was only after that what appears to be a manager that overheard our conversation that our evening was back on track. We were moved to the requested table and our server was lovely. The food was very good and sunset views lovely! Unfortunately you have to figure out how to get past the several hostess's apparent favoritism to have this experience. Good luck is all I can say!

Updated Review. Went recently for lunch with family from Boston due to our prior good experiences. This time we had to leave after seated. Seems nobody cares anymore. Male host was inattentive in seating us. Also seated us in a too Lage table because nobody was cleaning tables for 4. Nobody ever came to our table and after a few minutes we left to never return. How sad that a great spot became a place of careless. Bye

We have been here before and always have a great meal, with great service. Always have the yucca fries as an appetizer... and they were wonderful. Order our drinks. They came reasonably quickly, but they were out of the beer my son-in-law ordered. He picked another beer and that took a long time to come out. While we were ordering the waitress told my daughter that they only had "1 more" mushroom pot pie, so she would have to check. She came back and said they were out. Thought it was odd that they were out of a beer and entree at 6pm on a Friday. The food came out and it was excellent. My daughter did notice that the table next to us (that was seated about 30 minutes after us) had a mushroom pot pie. Not sure what happened there... We will return. Hope they have the pot pie for my daughter and grandson to share. One other thing, it would be good if they added more vegetarian options to menu.

APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE!!! The brand new menu has finally arrived. After MANY years of minor tweaks to the menu, management has finally revamped the menu. It is now an "all day menu" which is fine. Very few favorites still remain, but the new dishes are very welcome. I had the new shrimp tacos and they were very delicious, a bit messy, but delicious. My hubby had the penne a la vodka with homemade sausage and he enjoyed his meal as well. We're very glad for the menu change (and the minor decor changes as well), and will once again keep Canvas in our dining rotation. What made the evening so much more special was our server, Sara. SARA YOU ROCK!!!

Hadn't been here in over a year, but saw they had a new menu. Everything we had was delicious! We each tried a few new cocktails that were awesome and our food was equally amazing. So happy they've added new things and we will be back very soon to try more of them.
