Caribbean Sunshine Bakery

I Love the Saltfish breakfast meal. So much so that I drive 26 miles and 40 minutes one way to get it several times per month on the weekends. The Cashiers at the Silver Star and John Young stores always greet me with a smile 😊 and are very helpful.

Well got to go now. It's Saturday and I'm heading out to get some Sunshine...... Caribbean Sunshine Bakery that is.

Had to update because y’all really keep tryin me. Definitely a complete miss. For one I ordered large oxtails dinner, not a large rice dinner with literally 5 oxtails. So really you're paying over $22 for rice and uncooked bland cabbage. Ever so often the meat is fall off the bone but most days it’s rough as rubber. The fat is never rendered and extra gravy is never included when asked on this dry rice. It’s use to be good now idk. It’s just very dry and the cabbage is either steamed just right or not steamed enough.

Very disappointed. I ordered on Grubhub and got a surprise charge on my bill of $6.86 because they claim that the menu prices have increased. This is not good or honest as far as business and customer service.

In my opinion, this restaurant is the best Jamaican restaurant in Orlando! Love all their dishes!

The food and service are pretty good. I love the jerk chicken, specially.

Today the cashier was by far the WORST cashier ever having to deal with. My coworker and I were getting breakfast before heading out to work, having to wait 30 minutes for the my order to finally arrive. Even after when 4 people who had ordered their food AFTER me, RECEIVED THEIRS. MEANWHILE I STILL WAITED. I’ll be recommending other people to never do business here. Because there are far more better places that offer better service, and who don’t take pleasure into wasting people’s time. Noticed that the cashier also laughed after pointing out that my order was late. I would give this 0 stars. 05/09/2025 - 8:30am.

First Time Visit . Service was not good. Frozen drinks are very much watered down. Mac and cheese was greatly seasoned but lacked the cheese part . Greens were just ok just had an after taste. Chicken was ok but it’s blandly seasoned. I wouldn’t recommend. Not to mention we came specifically for the fried chicken just for them to say it would take an hour or longer to get fried chicken.

We were there (Marsh Rd location) for the first time today. Random choice. It was amazing. The food was flavorful and comforting. Portion was exactly right. The people were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere was calming and relaxing. We live 2 hours away and are not normally in that area. We will be going back—just because it is that good and well worth the drive.

Went to the location on silver star and I can say as a Jamaican I am truly disappointed. I went around 11:15 in the morning. The patties were stale and cold and the flavor was just not it. They had a metallic taste and it tasted like there were sitting there for days. SMH The soup didn’t even taste like it was beef. There is no Jamaican authentic flavors. The customer service was ok. Y’all need to do better though because this is just unacceptable.

This is one of the best places to eat in Orlando. Always busy. Amazing, friendly staff, unlike other jamaican restaurants. Get their brown stew fish. You wont be dissappointed!!

Went to location on west colonial they were out of yams and bananas. Called this location on silver star and was told they cannot place orders over the phone. I was confused because I order over the phone all the time. They confirmed they had what I wanted but couldn’t place order over the phone.

After driving the 15 minutes, to the silver star location they were now out of what I wanted.

Spoke to manager about the issue who was rude. I’m over this establishment.

Service takes to long for food thsts already cooked. Especially with only one person waiting for only 2 orders. Waiting 20min+. Not acceptable.

If I could give 0 stars for service I would. Sandra was so rude and unprofessional. After being a customer for over 15 years I am supremely disappointed. Food is good but the staff is horrible!
