We ordered Charlie's authentic Florida Key Lime Pies and Strawberry Cream Pie for our mother's funeral reception. Charlie's Bakery was our family's "go to" bakery for special occasions for all these years. It seemed only fitting to have Charlie's pies as a part of our mother's celebration. I miss the old Charlies Bakery. Probably will not drive from the coast to Orlando again just to go there.We spent almost $40 on an 8" cake that was unfortunately dry and flavorless. The icing texture is nice but not sweet like it used to be.

Was so excited to try the Chocolate Eclairs from Charlies; they look gorgeous and delicious but sadly, were a major disappointment.The chocolate on the top was pretty tasty but the custard and pastry were complete fails. The custard tasted old and did not have a lovely smooth texture and the pastry was either way overcooked or definitely NOT fresh that day.We bought them at 10am so should have been fresh. They should have been for sale for half price if they were day old and not the fullPrice of $7.00.We have purchased cookies, muffins and ice cream previously and all were delicious. This was our first time trying a pastry.
