Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster

Another fantastic experience at Christner's for my husband's birthday celebration. From the cocktails old fashioned and dirty martinis to the appetizer ahi tuna — our favorite! The steak 12oz filet and stone crab claws plus the sides of chateau potatoes, creamed corn and Brussel sprouts. And no birthday meal is ever complete without the orange cake and cappuccinos with the rock sugar stick stirrers. The ambience and service are next to none!

Love Christner's overall. We've never had a bad meal, from appetizer to dessert. However, this was the first time we've experienced questionable service. I brought my own bottle of wine and was quickly informed it's a bottle they serve. I completely understood and said it's not an issue and I'll select a bottle to order, but the server insisted to check the vintage. My bottle was a 2022 which he told me is the same vintage as theirs. Again, no issue on my side. I ordered their bottle since it's a good wine. Well, it comes to the table as a 2023. I didn't push back and we enjoyed the bottle. However, another odd interaction with him. They didn't clear the wine glass from our table which was located in front of my 18 year old. When the server was pouring, he asked my son if he was of age to drink, to which my son quickly said no. He cleared the glass and finished pouring ours. A few minutes later the server comes to our table, for no reason other than to ask me if I was left-handed. I said I am not and he said “oh. Well your wine glass is on the left side of your table, so did your son take a swig?” At this point I'm getting upset, but I maintained composure and said, “sir. My water is on the right and so I put my wine on the left. But yes, maybe it's weird to you but I do in fact use my left hand to drink if the glass is there”. They say service makes or breaks the experience, and they are right. The experience was BROKE this time.

The place is super loud and the food is very ok. My expectation to a place like this is to have a quiet compose dressed up people. It felt like I was in a supermarket every one speaks very loud. No class.

We finally got to Chrisners! So happy we did. It was an excellent experience all around! Everything was delicious, service was excellent and we truly enjoyed the piano player. A friend suggested we ask to sit in the piano dining room. So glad we did. The music volume was just right. We could enjoy the music and enjoy our conversation at our table. We will definitely be back!

Christner's absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a perfect evening—warm, elegant, and inviting. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. The food was not just delicious; it was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor in a way that reminds you why Christner's is truly in a league of its own. The service was genuinely over the top! Our server was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pushy, and made us feel like we were the only table in the room. Every need was anticipated before we even had to ask. It's rare to find that level of professionalism and warmth all in one place. From the food to the service to the ambiance, Christner's delivers excellence on every level. This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

They sat us at a table in the bar section. So it was a little noisy. Otherwise, everything else, food and service, were excellent.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating two birthdays last night. The food was delicious as always, and our service was impeccable. The waiter was so personable, and our service was excellent! Christners is our place to go to for a special celebrations. We are never disappointed!

Outstanding! Ahi Tuna appetizer is delicious, lobster bisque is creamy with nice chunks of lobster, house made salad dressings, best bread EVER, superb steaks with an outstanding bottle of wine. What could be better?! A perfect place to celebrate... or just have a great meal. Thanks for the great service Mark!

Everything but the steak was fantastic; but when you are in the running for best steakhouse in town, that isnt what you or the diner wants. Chalk it up to a bad night, as this place is usually spot on.

The food was great, and the service was great too. The best hot bread and soft butter in the industry! I wish we could get cheese on the baked potato

We were entertaining friends from out of town and Christner's again provided a great meal and experience for all. Matt was our server as Kevin was out, and service was excellent. I will be back to celebrate my birthday on October 18. Thank you!

We've been here a lot over the years but this one lacked in good service that you come to expect there. Probably won't return after this one.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner. The food and service was excellent! This restaurant is consistently good. The food tastes-really good and is well worth the money.

Our dining experience at Christner's was absolutely fantastic. Even after 40 years, the restaurant feels both timeless and well-maintained, with just the right mix of updates and classic charm. The staff was personable and attentive, taking the time to connect with us and explain the different menu options. Live piano music added a special touch to the atmosphere while we enjoyed our meal. The food was outstanding—especially the lobster mac and cheese and the ribeye. Highly recommend!

High meal price was expected, but drink prices were borderline ridiculous. We had 4 drinks and the tab was over $70. 2 of the drinks were just honey liqueur on the rocks, so nothing crazy. Additionally the bartender paying very little attention as we were at the bar for over 1.5hrs and only got refilled once. #wtf When we got to our table, waiter service was much better and we were refilled immediately. Food was great, no complaints. I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shoutout to the valet crew. I lost my ticket somewhere at the bar, and they not only were able to find my key immediately, but even remembered my name (tho I arrived 2.5hrs and many many customers ago). Left them a nice big tip.
