This is my family and my favorite Asian restaurant in all of Orlando. We have been coming here since 2017 and have never stopped. It is family style, so order at your own risk because you will more than likely order more than you'll expect. Some of our favorite dishes are the Cumin Lamb, the green beans, and something called Shui Zhu Beef. The staff is so friendly and they treat you like family.

My car got towed despite going to one of the companies listed on the Private Parking list. I've been told this restaurant owns the parking lot and tows anyone and everyone in that lot regardless of proof. This place was closed the day we went, art in the windows falling off, and generally run down. Why they are towing everyone in the lot makes no sense to me, and there's nobody you can call or talk to in order to prove you were at one of the other businesses. I cannot understand how this aggression benefits them in anyway other than gaining a cut of the towing costs, which in my mind is criminal for a restaurant. I imagine having cars parking in your lot is annoying, but then don't include the names of those businesses on the Private Parking list clearly shown at the front of the lot. Install parking meters or anything else. Avoid this scam at all costs. They don't have a place in Mills which is otherwise lovely and filled with kind hearted businesses.

Edit: After reading lots of other reviews, I see that Chuan Lu is either abusing their own customers, or completely complacent in another business abusing their customers. I do not know if they own the parking lot like they say they don't, but if you read many of their responses, they regularly contradict themselves and lie. They claim to have nothing to do with the parking, but then also claim that they have a check in system they reference 'before' cars get towed. Which is it? Everyone should read "let us talk to the towing company for you" as "we want to keep this matter private so we can keep doing it". They have their own sign posted behind a bush in the parking lot. There is absolutely nothing stopping them from making a new sign that states exactly what to do to not get towed and put it IN FRONT of the bush. Park/Eat here at your own risk.

Not a hot pot restaurant, the sign is super misleading. The food was not very good either

I ate here before, and unfortunately, the food was not up to the standard of other competitors in the area. Additionally, they are partnered with a local towing company. If you're considering eating here, I would recommend against it. There are much better options available nearby.

Dim sum made fresh to order. Crispy Peking Duck was just like the great ducks we used to get in New York City.

We had the pleasure of trying out this new restaurant recently and we loved it. The atmosphere is inviting and clean, the service was great, and the food was delicious! We have a hard time finding authentic Asian food in the Orlando area and we finally found it. We can’t wait to come back!

This is the best place in Orlando, possibly anywhere to have dumplings. Excellent beer and amazing service. I have a great time every time I visit. TRY THE SPICY LAMB!

Caution!!! Be AWARE of parking your car in their parking lot if you don’t want to be charged 135$ in couple of minutes! My car was towed just 15 minutes after parking in a lot and it was almost empty, there is no clear signage indicating that parking was exclusively for Chuan Lu Garden customers!
*Adding to that the tow truck's accept only cash, DO NOT USE ATM OF TOW TRUCK’S because there is HIGH FEE (thanks to uber driver women who told us about that, so we stopped by wawa to use ATM there, she told that happens all the time in that restaurant and we are not the first to have the car towed away) *they accept only cash SORRY BUT IT SEEMS LIKE MONEY LAUNDERING, since the price is not exact!!!
I asked the guy how often he tow the cars and he told every 3 minutes, what the heck?! When we arrived to that weird place there were more people waiting for the car, a good business huh?!!

We got the ShuiZhu Beef w. Hot Chili Sauce, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Came out earlier than anticipated and the staff were incredibly friendly. We'll definitely be back again!

I have been a loyal patron of our favorite restaurant in Orlando for over 11 years now, and it's safe to say that my family and I are addicted to their incredible dishes. We can't get enough of the Lazi eggplant, Lazi tofu, and tofu hotpot - they never disappoint! This authentic Szechuan restaurant truly knows how to utilize numbing Szechuan peppercorns to elevate their flavors. It's no wonder my family flys in just to satisfy their cravings! Thank you to the restaurant and chef for consistently delivering such delicious and unforgettable meals. Your dedication to keeping these amazing dishes on the menu is truly appreciated. A very big Thank You to Michael for always ensuring that we have a fantastic dining experience.

My girlfriend bit into a dumpling and bit into a wing nut. This is absolutely vile. You guys are lucky she didn't shatter a tooth. Disgusting service

The dishes served are American-style Chinese food. Keep your expectations low if you're looking for something authentic. For instance, dishes made with live fish can taste very fishy despite the addition of bold and salty ingredients. The chef is more focused on presentation rather than mastering authentic Chinese cuisine.
