I recently visited the upstairs dining area at Mango’s now called Corazon by Baires, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing.
The space itself feels like a temporary setup rather than a thoughtfully designed restaurant. It looks like curtains were simply added to divide the area and create a separate entrance, but little real investment seems to have been made to elevate the environment.
If the menu is going to be this expensive, the service should at least match the price point. Sadly, that was not the case. Our server was rude, inattentive, and showed very little interest in creating a pleasant experience for guests. Basic hospitality was missing completely.
What made it worse was the lack of care throughout the service. At one point, one of us actually had to get up and go find the server just to receive something we had already requested. Being charged an automatic 20% service fee after that kind of service felt extremely frustrating.
For two people, with two drinks each, two tapas, and one sushi roll, the bill was close to $300. For that price, you expect exceptional food and memorable service. Unfortunately, the food itself was not remarkable enough to justify the cost.
Maybe the location being in such a busy tourist area makes it easy for places like this to rely on one-time visitors rather than returning guests. Either way, it was a very disappointing experience and not one I would repeat.

Every dish was sensational - each one a burst of flavor and beautifully executed. The ambiance and decor were just as unforgettable, from the dancers to the dramatic presentations with flames and theatrical plating. It felt like dinner and a show in the best possible way. The service matched the food and atmosphere perfectly - every waiter and server was truly world-class. An absolutely incredible dining experience from start to finish.
