New to Orlando from Miami and have been searching for a real Cuban sandwich on real Cuban bread. Have tried 10 places that claim it’s authentic but then serve it on a hoagie roll. Not this place. This is the real deal 100% authentic Cuban sandwich. Tostones, cortadito and pastelito were all on point. I’ll be back and make Thai my regular lunch spot.

Workers are great. Environment is nice. Food is OK. I had the island breakfast. The eggs and toast were the best. The fries were cooked in a different oil than I am used to but it’s manageable. The bacon was entirely too tough to consume and also mustve laid in that same fry grease.

The service was the best part. This is my second time visiting and I work downtown. I ate there a year or so ago and it wasn’t my fave. So I decided to try it again with a friend who requested Spanish food. Got something different and I still wasn’t impressed. The food lacks the authentic Cuban flavors.

If you’re from Miami and miss the Cuban food, you have to come to Cuban American Café downtown Orlando inside the Fairwinds building. The best Cuban sandwiches, pastries, and all the good Cuban food you miss right here. I got 2 hot Cuban sandwiches. Big enough to share the Cuban pastries just like back home. And they have other Cuban dishes. I will definitely come back for a sit down. I just ordered to go.

My wife and I stop yesterday for the first time 15 minutos before closing time and had café con leche and a friendly chat with Peter.

This was the only cafe/bakery I found downtown that served croquetas. I ordered and enjoyed the croquetas with an egg sandwich. Staff was kind and friendly as well. I wish they were open on the weekends!
