Nice spot but very weak coffee
Got the brown sugar espresso with 3 shots and still not strong
My bf got the cappuccino and it was very watery

Cups and Pups is a sweet little gem tucked away on Edgewater Drive, that's somehow been saved from throngs of hipster Christians and university kids hogging all the tables. The pastries are decadent, the service is warm, and the drinks are served hot. And I love the lighting.

The Cafe Con Leche was great, just the right amount of sweetness. The store was clean and the service was friendly. Best of all they accept Bitcoin.

I wanted to love this place because it’s so cute inside but unfortunately it’s just not consistent enough for me to go back. The first time I went the coffee was phenomenal (iced salted honey latte) but I also ordered a cinnamon roll croissant thing. The barista warmed it up for me but it ended up burnt and hard, which was really disappointing as it was inedible. Then the second and third time I went the same latte tasted…sour? That’s the only way I can describe it. I’m not sure if they changed milks or perhaps it was going bad but it just had such a strange and gross after taste. Also ordered a nitro cold brew but the barista was in a hurry and didn’t pour patiently which defeated the purpose of it being nitro. Anyway, it’s a hit or miss for me and that makes it difficult to want to go back again.

*Of course I tried the Honey Nut Cheerio Latte*

I’ve had some bad experiences getting coffee in Orlando recently.

This was not one!

Walked in Tara & Casey (Might be with a K) were inside knocking out some drinks for other customers.

Both of them are super friendly. They helped me find some coffee for my girlfriend and she loved the Pop Tart Latte.

The Honey Nut Latte really tastes like cereal.

Before I leave Orlando, I gotta give them another try.

I think this place gets a lot of unnecessary flak bc of the name and not allowing dogs into the premises (dogs allowed on the outer roadside patio though!) Unfortunately this isn’t their choice but due to Florida/US law. I don’t think we can blame them for that. I spend a lot of time working in Germany and it is incredibly dog friendly there with a high standard of cleanliness so this is something we can work on as a state or country instead of taking it out on the restaurants.

I do wish there was more dog-themed content or involvement in their presence (more dog-themed latte names, decor, animal welfare involvement, etc) but I know they had a dog park planned at one point. Can’t wait to see what is down the line for Cups & Pups in that vein. This new location is a big upgrade from the last one down the road and actually allows you to spend time here. Of note, it is not the type of coffee shop where you come to take quiet meetings and get work done. It’s quite loud and more of a place for friends to meet up in the walkable neighborhood. Nothing wrong with either, just be aware if you’re wanting to come here to get work done, it’s a happening place!

Good coffee, nice ambience, but the prices are expensive, and the cashier was pretty slow and got part of our order wrong.

I was excited to try butterscotch, but I ended up getting the honey nut cheerio latte, which really did taste exactly like that and was delicious!

Nice coffee shop in the middle of the College park drive. Very friendly service. The cappuccino was delicious. They use Lineage coffee, the Modern American Columbia bean for their espresso. They also offer single origin pour over.

Do not be fooled by the name as pups are not allowed in the cafe! “They are welcome on the patio”, which is the same as most places. Not sure why they have named the place like this when it’s dog unfriendly.

I suggest a new name. Cups, No Pups!

Calling yourself Cups and pups but not being dog friendly is misleading. Yes dogs are allowed outside but they are usually allowed everywhere outside anyway

We’re regulars at Cups & Pups! Friendly, attentive service and lattes that truly shine—pumpkin cold foam tastes like pumpkin pie, and the salted honey and almond cookie lattes are amazing. Bright, cheery space with spotless restrooms. Love that they actively support local small businesses and young entrepreneurs. Always a joy to visit!
