Listen, I’m not a picky eater. I am not a food critic nor do I have high standards at all, especially at theme parks. But I can say with absolute certainty that this was the worst theme park food we’ve ever had. I am not sure if they were having a bad night or what, but both dishes were room temperature or cold. I ordered the steak and it was well done (couldn’t order it any other way except how it came) and was so tough I couldn’t even chew it fully (also extremely hard to cut into), which is sad because the flavor was good, and the potatoes and veggies on the side were really good. My wife got the chicken sandwhich, which was cold and very dry, the fries were good. Overall, we would not eat here again. Pizza Moon and Cafe L’air de la Sirene were amazing but Das Stakehouse fell flat. The ambience was super cool, and the service was great, would buy a drink and just hang out in the dark AC next time.

Cool atmosphere but if you have extreme dietary restrictions they sont work with you and the chef who i had i delt pressured to say i was fine with eating things I was allergic too i can only eat 10 foods so I cannot tell y what im allergic too which I tel people and they continue to push for what im.allergic too which is everything except these 10 foods.. the atmosphere is super cute though.. please like the other universal chefs be able to prepare things withou6 seasoning on them like the baby carrots & thw chicken breast..

So, at 7 p.m., it was dark in the land. We noticed a large, themed door and assumed it was the entrance. It was unlocked. We entered and felt uneasy because there was no one inside. At some point, a crew member rudely informed us that the restaurant was closed. However, the app didn’t indicate that it was closed, and we had paid a hefty price to enter a park that was open until 10 p.m. So, how did they decide to close their themed restaurant at 7 p.m.? I’ve never seen anything like this at Disney World. Perhaps they know how to operate a theme park. I’m curious to see how they succeed on the other side of the Atlantic.

Really haunting and special place. Loved every little detail! Food was delicious. If you enjoy this aesthetic definitely check it out!

The food looked and tasted good, but service is awful. You have to use a QR code to order, but you can't do allergy exceptions on it. We tried to explain it when we first walked in but they made us try the QR code first, then we had to go back up and order anyways.

Service was slow. Half of our parties meals came out and then it was another 15 minutes before the rest came out. The first batch was cold. One salmon salad had under cooked salmon. The cook took it back and provided a new salad which was better. The atmosphere was really neat but I wouldn't recommend this place.

10/11/2025 stopped here for some lunch. Ordered the hamburger with fries. Nothing special but it was better than we expected.

Theme park prices! $4.75 for a soft drink. $22 for a Bloody Mary! That's nuts. Cool dark interior. The waitress was really nice and checked to see if anyone had any allergies, wouldn't want someone dying at the most magical place in the world. Haha

The table next to us had 3 kids. Can't imagine what their bill was $150+.

The food is awesome. The environment is amazing. The prices aren't even bad. The drink selection is great. Now serve the food hot.

Ambiance of this place is an easy 5 out of 5. The theming is EXCELLENT. I ordered the Carved Staked Steak and it was surprisingly good, especially for a theme park steak. The mashed potatoes that came with it were really, really good. For a drink, order the Monocane (no, it will not turn you invisible or drive you insane like the Invisible Man). The biggest drawback is that you have to order on the Universal app and I absolutely despise using that thing. It is not easy to use, it took me several minutes to figure it out, and I would find it far more preferable if they just had waiters to take orders.

A family member works here. I recently went to Universal Orlando but I did not have time to make it to this park and restaurant...However, I was told they have vegan options such as the spaghetti and stuffed cabagge. I wish I could do it like today because I am leaving in a few days, and certainly vegan options here are very hard to come by. Thank you very much for giving a chance to vegan customer.

Food was delicious and the art and red flickering lights inside of the castle are very cool! I got the staked salmon and my mom got the chicken. Both were cooked perfectly!
My only complaint is how you're made to order. You enter and pass and ordering station, but are then told you have to be seated before ordering. You get to your seat and are then told you have to order on the app. I don't want to be forced to download an app to order food. Luckily, I was able to order by walking back up to the front.

Highly themed and good food. What can you complain about? We had the pork belly and the chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and the environment was very fun during our Dark Universe time.

We visited one of the restaurants in Epic Universe’s Dark Universe area called Das Stakehaus and were extremely disappointed with how we were treated. My husband was refused another drink because the manager, Nat, claimed he had slurred his words — which was completely untrue. He had only had one drink total and was in no way intoxicated or behaving inappropriately.

We understand and appreciate that staff need to ensure guests’ safety, but this was handled poorly and unfairly. It is not someone's place to say what I can and cannot have nor saying we need water. It is jumping to conclusion. Instead of having a respectful conversation or even taking a moment to reassess, the manager immediately made an assumption and refused service without cause. It felt judgmental and embarrassing.

We expect better professionalism and customer service from a Universal park restaurant, especially in such a highly anticipated new area. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed rather than enjoying what should have been a fun, relaxing day.
