I honestly have no idea how this place has good reviews. I tried to go cod the first time ( due to the hype) and it is extremely crowded, the host was extremely RUDE, unless you are a local or repeat customer ( I assume) they do take seem to like new customers- as I even told the girl with a smile on my face “ hi this is my first time here “ , just to be hit with a “ OK??” Nonchalant and ? Lol . All enthusiast glee left my body. It’s a nice spot blended with other small nice eateries, but terrible customer service!!! Do better Orlando !

Waited 2 1/2 hours to be all but ignored by Rose. Sat at the kitchen bar and was not greeted until 15 minutes after sitting down at which point my order was taken. There was no follow up, absolutely none, until I was ready to leave. Miserable service.

This is labeled as “take-out” by google but after an hour drive and a 30 minute wait in line the staff was very clear that takeout was NOT an option. I had to sit and eat a portion of two different ramens to be able to take the “leftovers” home to my wife.

There is a long wait but the price is reasonable and the ramen was delicious. Be sure to get there before 5 or else you’ll be waiting a while and will most likely not have the full menu to choose from.

The bar staff was dealing with computer issues but was still attentive and friendly.

Terrible service, servers and personal don’t care at all about clients, ramen way too oily and greasy, Waited 15 min for server to come to our table, took 15 more minutes to get the 4 beers we ordered, just ridiculous, avoid this place

I absolutely love the food at Domu, but getting the food is the worse hassle. You can’t make a reservation, pushing you to go in person just to get turned away at the door. There’s never any parking, they close halfway through the day and do not offer to go services. They must be missing out on a ton of money but keeping their options so limited. Very disappointed to have traveled two hours to Orlando & this being on of the only things I looked forward to, just to be turned away twice.

The food was fantastic. My issues lie solely with the service and atmosphere. We arrived early since we understood it was a popular spot. We were quoted a 1 hr 15 minute wait due to the line. We ended up waiting 2.25 hrs and getting sat at an outdoor table with no space heaters (it was roughly low 50s the night we went). Absolutely absurd to have the wait time doubled in order to get seated. Once we placed our orders, our appetizers came out within about 10 minutes. The entrees took about 45 minutes. Overall, the food is good but definitely not worth the wait or the lack of service.

12/21/2024 I asked if we needed to be within a certain distance to be notified our table was ready. The hostesses (both) said no because they would text us, but they didn’t mention they would only hold a table for us 5 minutes within the time they texted us. We were 3 minutes past 5 minutes from the time they texted us and they wouldn’t seat us at a table. They expect you to hang out in the parking lot for an hour or more. The hostesses should have told us we would only have 5 minutes.

Dr. Phillips location is a lot better. Service was way way way too slow moving. The follow-up game was terrible. The food temp was warm, not hot. If this was my first time, I would not cole back. Parking was minimal. Dr. Phillips location has no parking issues, no service issues, and lives up to the hype. I'd drive the extra miles to the other location and bypass this one altogether.

Food was highly salted and too oily to our liking that I had to ask for separate order of plain rice to mix with, after I drained the excessive oil. I am sorry to express my disappointment for today’s visit. My partner and I ordered same dish ie two plates of noodles with ground beef. Not sure what’s it’s called. I would call it asian version of meat sauce with spaghetti. It was not even on the menu on their website. Since there was no menu given, I asked the server Ryan for the low fat option. By the way Ryan was very sweet and attentive.

The food tasted great. Although the chashu was a bit cold, the portion was perfect size and well-balanced.
Service could improve significantly. We waited 2 hours to be seated, which is expected due to the high demand, but then the food took so long to get to our tabl, they also handed the drink to the wrong person at our table, a person who already had a drink.
Some more attention would be appreciated for a 3 times michelin restaurant.

The place has a good atmosphere and the food is very good. However, the space is small and without a reservation the wait is more than 1 hour, so we decided not to wait.

I enjoyed the Tokyo ramen. Pretty good service. I had to find a seat at the bar in order to have Ramen. I had to squeeze between two couples. Lol

Otherwise the service was pretty standard.

If you want to eat ramen: My experience is from a Friday evening. I arrived to the place around 5:20 pm. Finding parking took me about 15 min (and I felt kind of lucky due to I had to follow a customer to their spot after they were done). There was a line to the hostess that took me about to 20 min to get to the front. When I finally got the front I found out there was wait of 2 hours (keep in mind we were a party of 2). We were finally seated at 7:45pm, the waitress was pretty good. we gave her our order by the first 7 min, and the food took 20 min to get served. Therefore, from getting to the restaurant to have your food takes a little less than 3 hours. The food is pretty good, but there is places as good as this 15-20 min away from this place. The restaurant has a very small area that is completely packed of how many people are waiting in the bar area or standing, the inside dine in is pretty small and that’s why the wait is so long ( in my opinion a marketing strategy). Overall great food! not worth the wait tho 🙁

Much better choices in the immediate area. We decided on Domu for our 15th anniversary. We came on the recommendations of our friends and of course, Michelin.

We had really high hopes. We arrived around 4:20pm on Saturday, about 40 minutes before they opened and there was already a line forming spanning roughly half way to the road. Parking is really miserable, they share the plaza with a number of other busy businesses and the parking lots and streets are absolutely packed and finding a spot took effort.

Despite arriving 40 minutes early, we still ended up on a wait and waited roughly 20-25 minutes to be seated. Interior of the restaurant is well decorated and waiting isn't really an issue as you can explore the plaza so it goes quick.

We ordered the Domu Wings and three ramens, the Richie Rich, Tokyo, and Tonkotsu Black. Sadly, outside of the wings and the Richie Rich ramen, the other two bowls were really dissapointing.

The kimchi butter wings were really good. Super crunchy breaded Korean fried chicken wings in a delicious sauce. Highly reccommend. The Richie Rich ramen was also very tasty. Outside of the chasu, which was very dry and dissapointing, the other ingredients were cooked properly and the broth was rich and flavorful.

The Tokyo Ramen was very salty, which was the stand out flavor of the dish. The chicken thigh was bland and unmemorable. The Tonkotsu, which is my favorite style of ramen that I order everywhere I go that serves it, was really pretty bad. Extremely bland broth, dry and overcooked chasu, and overall highly dissapointing.

I was very surprised by Domu. I had very high expectations given their Michilen standing and line out the door. Maybe it was a bad night or we ordered the wrong things. Honestly, if it weren't for the difficult parking and over 1 hour wait, I'd probably give them 3 stars. With the parking and wait, it ended up being a lot of work for very forgettable food. There's much better ramen in Orlando.

Parking: Parking here on a weekend is miserable work. They share the plaza with a number of other fairly busy businesses and their parking lot is small. There's street parking and an additional lot, but even still, it's not a fun experience.

Kid-friendliness: Not the best place for family dining. Very tight quarters and very busy.
