Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi

We come here a couple times a month because the food is fantastic- especially compared to happy hour pricing. This time our experience was made even better by the service. Our server Jon was covering several other tables when we were seated, so manager Ashley took our drink & app order and served the drinks until Jon was free. Despite his workload, we still got plenty of attention from Jon after the initial order was placed. The food: We always get the pork pot stickers done in the skillet- the best we've had anywhere. The ginger salad, crunchy shrimp, grilled shrimp skewers are also terrific. I want to call out the sushi tacos (particularly the salmon one) and short rib as the best of the bunch. There's a whole sushi menu too! I was on crutches due to a broken foot, and as soon as we got up & headed for the door, Ashley dashed ahead to hold the door for me. Service like this usually comes from an establishment where we'd pay 2 or 3 times what we pay at Dragonfly.

Wow, that was pleasantly an unexpected exceptional experience. Having been my first time, I can't speak highly enough about it. We had two craft cocktails, delicious, the bomb roll, living up to its name, the kimchi pasta, savory and soooooo good finishing with a beer, glass of wine and dessert. Delicious! From the fine dining, compostable straws and the motion censored lights in the restroom, 5 stars all the way! Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu Gabe and Ashley, will most definitely be back.

The atmosphere, food and service is always excellent. The entire wait staff and mgt team check in to ensure you're having a great experience. We've been here multiple times and are never disappointed. 5 star rating and service everytime.

Best food. Don't need any extra or side sauces. The balance of flavors explode in your mouth. These guys do it the best and different than all others!

Amazing experience the manager came over to ask how our service was, and the server was extremely professional, prompt, and accurate. The only note is that I marked that it was my birthday on the reservation and they did not acknowledge nor give me anything to celebrate

One of my favorite underrated places in Orlando. Great bar, cocktail, wine and beer list to accompany very good izakaya experience. Portions are on the smaller side -- it's like Japanese tapas -- and so it's a little pricier than most, but the ambience is great.

I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years and Cynthia knows how to make a customer feel special. For starters, she knows me by name and I have a very complicated name. Second, she's extremely knowledgeable of the menu. As someone who repeatedly goes to this restaurant, I usually get the same things and Cynthia has helped me try new items on the menu. Her description and passion is what encourage me to try new things and I continue to love this restaurant. Sidenote, out of the 10 years I have been coming to this restaurant, Cynthia is the only person that knows me by name again. My name is complicated but for her to get it right every single time is truly meaningful.

We have visited Verese sushi restaurants in the Orlando area for decades. Some have been disappointing some good some great and some extremely memorable. Dragonfly was extremely memorable both in its food and it's service. Our favorites are black dragon and smoky dragon sushi rolls. From the grill, if you could only get one thing, you must get the bone in short rib. I'm not a huge red meat eater. I'm very picky about it. But I DEVOURED this dish. Everything is exceptional, but those are “must try' choices. Yes, it is a little expensive. But sushi is never been known to be cheap, and I believe you get what you pay for. Dragonfly will not disappoint you!

So worth the trip. Can't beat the happy hour deals. Place was packed by 6 PM. Appetizers were delicious. Great service and lovely ambiance. Would highly recommend. Opera cake definitely worth the calories!
