Delicious! Caught them at a school event.

We drove out there to a man with a BBQ grill and a tent and no name and no customers. Nothing like the pictures show, a little bit of professionalism may help you go further and make people feel comfortable to eat your food if this is the same place listed.

Got ribs, mac and cheese, and potato salad two nights in a row to confirm what I tasted the first day was true.

I am often described by my SO and friends as somewhat of a BBQ snob. I’ve tried BBQ from many of the “traditional” states for BBQ as well as places you would not necessarily expect. When I saw the Fat Bones trailer I thought, ok let’s see how they are. It was the smell that got my curiosity, and then seeing that smoker on the side reeled me in. Far too often do restaurants and trucks advertise “BBQ ribs” and leave me disappointed or annoyed for having waste my money.

Now I can’t speak about the BBQ as a whole since I only tried the ribs, but I must say the ribs are worth getting even despite the ribs no longer being warm by the time I finally got home. Incredible smoke, perfect char, and well-balanced rub to make a great combination.

The ribs are sauced and as far as I know there’s only one flavor. The sauce tastes like a tangy vinegar base, that is sweet with little to no spice. I asked for extra on day two.

The second night I noted a smokiness to the Mac with was a pleasant surprise. The Mac and cheese was good, although nothing that made it really stand out from others. The potato salad on the other hand, well, I normally don’t seek out potato salad but when I tried this I ended up really liking it.

Finally, they have beer although with limited options.

All in all great experience. They take tap to pay but cash is always welcome as well.

Perfect! Roadside BBQ from a guy embodying the American Dream. A gracious, grateful young man. And he puts out some SERIOUS ribs! Meaty, tender, perfectly smoked. Go with collards and mac-n-cheese for sides. Holy crap, this guy nails it!

I had the pleasure of having Fat Bones BBQ’s smoked chicken for an event and I must say I got my money’s worth plus some. I was thoroughly surprised at the amount of chicken as well as the variety of pieces. Fat Bones BBQ provided wings as well as chopped up leg quarters…..some with sauce and some without to provide options for the guest. The meat was mouthwatering and had people talking about it days later.Did I mention the food was delivered…..saving me time in an already hectic day. I will definitely be a returning customer for future events or if I’m just craving amazing food.

Just got over food poisoning eating here July 4th. He charged us $75 for full rack, three sides and two sodas, which my girlfriend thinks was over charged (sign says you can get 1/2 rack & 2 sides for $20). The ribs tasted like lighter fluid. I was so sick I thought I was going to die almost went to the ER. I slept on the floor by the toilet all night. The ribs looked like scraps from other ribs and some of the pieces had the texture of jerky. The potato salad was put in a togo container that looked like it had been on the bottom of the stack on the floor with black stuff all over it. I’m not going to be able to eat BBQ for a long time. Couldn’t finish it threw it away. Won’t be back.

I was able to catch their food truck outside the RBELC and the food was fantastic. The potato salad was an excellent flavor and the sauce for the ribs was to die for!

We got 2 plates, a fried fish plate and a chicken wing plate. The fish was 2 huge seasoned pieces with a side of fries. Then there was the chicken wings with potato salad. Oh my goodness, the food was delicious. You should definitely go eat some of that delicious stuff that he sells.

Over priced! $20 for a meal and has little sides & small portions of meal. Not worth the price.
