This was my first time trying this cuisine. I have heard of it in the past but never tried it and didn't know what it would taste like. The staff was very helpful and welcoming knowing it was our first time. We tried the Ube and the Pumpkin pancake. They were both good. It was an underwhelming experience. The pancakes flavor is pretty eggy (not sweet like I was expecting it to be) and one dimensional. I ordered the cookie butter coffee and it didn’t taste like cookie butter. The best thing was the seasonal burnt top pumpkin cheesecake, and the atmosphere was pretty, but unkept (I had to clean my table — all tables were dirty, even though the place was empty). They let you know your order will take 20+ minutes, so just underwhelming overall.
The food we got was good, but they were out of more than half of their menu and it took a crazy long time to get our food. The person who took our order was not super helpful after she found out that we had never gotten food there. I ask what they would recommend and “it’s all good” was the only answer given. I am only giving them 4 stars for service because we accidentally stayed till after closing time and they were really nice about it!
